This is a miraculous moment ... without a doubt. It has been such a monumental opportunity to be involved in this project. I feel I have been listening to my mother singing like an angel ever since I was born. And probably even before then. Hearing how much she has blessed others or touched people with her voice is something I acknowledge as an unmistakable gift from the Lord. My whole life, for as long as I can remember; we would sit next to a speaker and listen to records together ... watching the vinyl spin while singing the words to countless songs. Listening to her sing ... around the house, at church, or at numerous performance rehearsals while I drew in a notepad are my most consistent memories. So now, my mother being blessed with the opportunity to release her OWN record is incredibly special ... and on top of that, her asking me to create the artwork for her record is more than an honor. It is something I believe that God has been preparing the both of us for our entire lives ... without us even knowing.
