A História dos uniformes nazistas desenhados e fabricados por Hugo Boss: A grife alemã Hugo Boss reconheceu que seu fundador Hugo Ferdinand Boss apoiou Adolf Hitler durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial para assim, tentar proteger e dar impulso a sua marca de roupas. O livro ‘Hugo Boss, 1924-45’ do historiador Roman Köster, docente da Universidade de História Militar de Munique, que foi autorizado pela marca, revela que o proprietário da grife não somente foi um nazista fervoroso durante a Segunda Guerra, mas também manteve escravizados em sua fabrica em Metzingen, no estado de Baden-Wurttemberg cerca de 180 prisioneiros de guerra (140 franceses e 40 poloneses). Sessenta anos depois, a companhia publicou um comunicado em seu site pedindo perdão e ressaltando que sente “o mais profundo pesar por aqueles que sofreram durante seus trabalhos forçados na empresa de Hugo Ferdinand Boss, durante o regime nazista.” Quando produziam os uniformes da SS. O livro, que discorre sobre a vida do fundador da companhia, mostra que em 1933 Hugo Boss foi produtora e distribuidora oficial dos uniformes militares do Partido Nazista Alemão e a partir de 1938 passou a produzir também os trajes específicos da Waffen SS.
