Thanking communities, individuals and businesses who have gone above and beyond to help others: Today The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited London Bridge and Whitechapel to hear about some of the challenges faced over the past six months. Throughout the Covid-19 emergency, London Bridge Job Centre has continued to provide face to face support to vulnerable customers. There, The Duke and Duchess spoke to customers, staff and employers on the difficulties involved in helping people find work during a global pandemic. At the London Muslim Centre @eastlondonmosque, volunteers have supported members of the community by helping to cook and deliver warm meals and medication to the most vulnerable - and gone above and beyond by providing befriending calls to the isolated, vulnerable and elderly and critical counselling, including supporting women affected by domestic violence. 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗨𝗠𝗔 + 𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗦 begins today! 🎉 We have a group of 18 helping professionals joining us for an 8-week deep dive into the physiology of trauma, where they’ll learn how to assess and support their clients at the level of the nervous system. 3.5 years ago when @willrezin and I began our trauma training we knew— 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 was the missing piece of the coaching industry. 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 was what people didn’t even know they needed. 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 was the link connecting all the various professional trainings and personal healing work we had done through the years. 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 is what no one ever taught us growing up about living in a body.. Over the past 3.5 years we’ve been immersed in studying neuroscience and trauma theory, receiving support from our somatic mentors and providing support to our private and group clients. When COVID hit, we knew it was time. The world, 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺, needed this information. We took it upon ourselves, in the midst of a massive upheaval in our personal lives, to create this program. We’ve organized not just 3.5 years of trauma integration training, but a collective 35 years of personal development (Will began personal development at 18 years old, I began at 15!) into a coherent and easy-to-learn process for helping-professionals. In today’s world, 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘯𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 just to be a coach, a healer, a facilitator... The world needs Trauma-Informed Practitioners to support this next wave of human evolution. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂: A pathway to becoming the Trauma-Informed Human the world needs you to be. This was one of my first #metgala bookings. I had done #karenelson before at shows but I had never worked with her partner at the time #Jackwhite I was a big fan of his so I was excited and nervous. I set Karen’s hair and while we waited for it to cool I started Jack. I diffused his natural curly hair in the style he wore at the time. I went back to brush out Karen and build her final look which was a modern flat 40’s wave. When I finished karen, Jack thought that compared to her he looked like a Parking Valet and asked what we could do to tighten his look up. I excitedly told him what I had envisioned for him which was a sleek pompadour ala #rudolphvalentino He was super stoked that I had a vision and we started. We had a great conversation about music, dreams, and a really funny story about #rkelly 🤷🏽♀️ He looked and felt great with his new look. He said I was the first person to do this hairstyle on him. I was elated that he trusted my vision. It was what I had in mind before I walked in to the hotel.
