“Fundamental e mesmo o amor É impossível ser feliz sozinho” ⠀ Como não concordar com os versos da música Wave? ⠀ Wave é a primeira música do álbum homônimo de 1967, composta por Tom Jobim e arranjada por Claus Ogerman. ⠀ O que deveria ser a primeira parceria de Tom com Chico Buarque não passou de um verso de três palavras. A melodia estava pronta e Tom pediu a letra ao jovem amigo. Chico escreveu apenas “ Vou te contar”. Tom telefonava para Chico e dizia: “Mas Chico, você não quer ficar rico?”. Como Chico não contava o resto da história, o maestro pediu uma letra a Ronaldo Bastos, que na época era apenas um amigo de Paulo Jobim; mais tarde seria conhecido por criar, com Milton Nascimento os clássicos “Fé cega, faca amolada” e “nada será como antes”. Ele atendeu ao pedido de Tom, mas ficou surpreso quando, ao entregar a encomenda, descobriu que o maestro fizera a letra sozinho.
