Ok so... Experiences are very importante to me! Like if you know me you know I can be a bit... extraaaa. I think it’s magical to step outside of the norm and put a little spice on a normal day. So on a random Tuesday, I had one that exceeded all my expectations. @nossanom came through in my kitchen and set up an outside dinner on my balcony for me and the man... 〰️ Retour sur une belle découverte aussi surprenante quinattendue ! Il y a 2 semaines, je suis allée à Antony pour découvrir ce que je pensais être un restaurant le @_kalbas ! Bien plus quun restaurant, le @_kalbas est un véritable lieu de vie ! Par une belle après-midi ensoleillée, jy suis allée - avec mes BFF - un jour où le lieu était normalement fermé [on avait donc lespace rien que pour nous ce qui ne serait jamais arrivé en temps normal]. Et là, kiff totale ! Un lieu chaleureux hors du commun, où tout est aménagé entièrement avec de la récup, avec une grande salle à lintérieure, une scène aménagé, un espace extérieur idéal pour chiller [mon endroit préf, le hamac] des plats DÉ-LI-CIEUX et un superbe accueil 😁. Sur place, les délicieuses Kalbas Crevettes, Poulet, Bœuf, Végé cuisinés avec des produits frais ! My most challenging and awesome memories from my ten years as a business owner... This one lives very much in the challenging column. This photo was taken by me, standing against my bedroom wall with my fancy camera on 28 Dec 2011. I was taking my own photo because I was broke and wouldnt dream of asking one of my photographer friends to take my photo without payment. I used this as my professional headshot for quite a few years and I still love it. This was a few days before a challenging and poignant New Years Eve for me. I had been in business for almost 18 months and it was the second year in a row that I had less than $1 in my bank account on NYE. I had 37c in there that year. The Christmas holidays were really hard for me in those early years because my clients didnt need my services, and I hadnt reached an income level that allowed me to put money away for it. I was in the privileged position of having family who could have helped my financially, but I was mostly too proud to ask. And I knew that I was broke rather than poor, and that I would get through it. Believe me, I acknowledge my privilege. That New Years Eve I set a ridiculous goal for someone with 37c in her bank account. I set myself a goal of heading to New York, for a month, that June. I picked New York because I wanted to set myself a target of somewhere expensive. Somewhere I hadnt been before, that would feel like Id made it once I was there. What the girl in this photo didnt know was that things werent going to get easier just yet. But I did get myself to New York.
