- almost 1.5 years in Australia and I have done every dirty job. You name it and there is a chance that I might have already done it. My first pay here was $2 coin; I still have it. I helped an old lady at Woolworths, Corrimal put the groceries in her car. She gave me those two dollars . I am not going to go on about the details of all the jobs I have done and how they have shaped me. When I came to Australia, I came with multiple motives, one of which was to completely rip my existence apart or whatever was left of it. In the video, you see me pushing trolleys. I push them for 7 hours almost, with 5 minute breathers every 3 hours. Then I get paid, 50% of which I donate to Yemen. . I have worked 7 day weeks for 82 days in a row waking up at 1 am and with no sleep pattern. My Instagram bio reads “I am meant to do greater things in life” and I will. I am here for a purpose. The purpose is that I am NOT going to paint a PRETTY PICTURE OF STRUGGLE. The only pretty picture of struggle is success; which for me is gratitude . People often ask me these days, you don’t seem like your Instagram profile. You talk a lot, you laugh a lot and you are lame. I will tell you why; because I am at peace with myself. I have ripped myself apart over & over again & developed a new me over & over again until I achieved peace with existence . As brutal as it may sound, I was once told something about my “aukaat”. How it was said was wrong, but it was true, “nahi thi to nahi thi”. It took me a long time to achieve that peace. It required a lot of tears, pain, conviction and most importantly hard work. I have spent countless nights howling but no more. I am not afraid anymore; more importantly HARD WORK HAS BECOME MY HABIT . - I noticed that in the previous Japanese GP, there was a certain spot at Degner 1 where the cars all bottomed out. You can clearly see the mark on the racing line.
So where do I begin... SATURDAY, I bought a $500 used t5 that seemed to be in great shape (it wasnt) and spent all day resealing it and assembling it to install it in the car, @leoalvaradoo came and SAVED THE DAY, drove 45 minutes on a moments notice with no hesitation to come help me out with it🙏🏻 I got it installed and on the trailer and after mounting tires I had the shop closed and left at like 3am 🙃 got to osw the next day no issues w/ @jasonbelina and started the day off hot until.... torque arm comes loose and is smacking the ground sending sparks every time I grab the hydro. Tried ratchet strapping it to no avail so we just sent it 🤷🏻♂️ made for some pretty sick tandems until the trans decided to fail... all in all a kick ass weekend with some kickass friends and I wouldn’t trade it for the world 🙏🏻 I love this shit with a passion. The final race of 2020 Gearup Challenge is setting up to be an incredible event. With an awesome turnout at the recent State Championship race we are set to host a record number of racers attending this last event of the season. A perfect storm of racers, teams and track will set the stage at New Jersey Motorsports Park for this final round of the Gearup Challenge. As we continue to improve the racers experience at our events the team at NJMP and the F-Series have added an additional day of track testing on Thursday, to make it extra exciting it will be on the Tempest!! With a ton of interest in the Briggs program we have decided to run both the 100cc and the Briggs for both days of this event. Additionally with such a short season in the 100cc category, Sundays results will count towards the final standings in the State Championship Series. A GT Sprint Race, uma das principais categorias do automobilismo brasileiro, confirma mais duas etapas da temporada 2020, nos dias 07 e 08 de outubro – quarta-feira e quinta-feira – e, na mesma semana, nos dias 10 e 11 de outubro – sábado e domingo – no Autódromo Internacional de Curitiba. As 20 novas máquinas da categoria irão acelerar pela primeira vez na pista paranaense, localizada em Pinhais, e tornou-se uma das mais importantes do esporte a motor do país após sua reinauguração em 1989. A grande novidade do próximo encontro será a programação completa da terceira etapa ou da quarta etapa no sentido inverso do traçado paranaense, dependendo das condições climáticas. A Etapa #InverseTrack da GT Sprint Race será realizada pela terceira vez e marca pelo ineditismo a história da competição, do autódromo e do automobilismo nacional. “Aproximamos as duas próximas etapas pensando na logística principalmente dos pilotos. Não se trata de uma rodada dupla e sim, duas etapas distinta tanto que uma delas nós pretendemos fazer no sentido inverso do Autódromo Internacional de Curitiba”, destaca Thiago Marques, CEO da GT Sprint Race. O campeonato, que completa a nona edição, retorna ao circuito que mais abrigou provas desde a fundação em 2012, foram 21 etapas (42 corridas), sem contar as horas de treinos extras no que serviram para a preparação e desenvolvimento dos carros de competição. E ainda, foi o palco de muitas das inovações da categoria, como a corrida no circuito oval (anel externo) e a corrida com grid inverso. Logo atrás, vem o Autódromo de Interlagos que sediou 19 etapas, sendo 40 corridas. No calendário de 2020, por conta do cenário da pandemia, o calendário previsto para início em abril sofreu mudanças nas datas e praças. Your knees can go over your toes, dumbass. This is another dumb myth that needs to be taken out back and put down like Old Yeller. Let’s go back to class and look at basic physics and moment arms for a second. A moment arm is simply the length between a joint axis and the line of force acting on that joint. The longer the moment arm, the more force is placed upon the joint axis. So if you squat in a big hip hinge all the time, the joint axis is literally your SI joint. Look at the degrees of movement in this joint, and compare it to the degrees of movement in a knee joint. Which one is bigger? This is basic shit. There is no reproducible research that says knees over toes is a bad position. The one study that everyone quotes was done in the 50s and has been summarily crushed time and time again. But yet, this myth persists. During gait, the knee drives over the toe in mid-stance phase 3. In a squat, the knees should track in line with the toes to get maximal quads. I havent been actively avoiding air travel, but I havent had any essential trips, so I decided to stick to car rentals this summer instead of flights. Meet my new hero and favourite racer Matthew Knoesen. Matt is almost 8 years old and was born with a spinal cord injury, resulting in him having extremely limited use of his legs below the knee. Matt wears braces on both legs for most of his walking outside of home, and uses a wheelchair for longer distances. Matt has always loved cars and racing and has dreamed of being a professional racing driver since he was three years old. At six and a half years old, he sat in a Bambino go kart for the first time and was hooked, and was on the podium from his third race proving Muhammad Ali right that “Impossible is Nothing”. Matt now has his own Honda Cadet kart which he is practicing in for when he turns eight at the end of this year and can start competing. Matt drives unmodified karts, using his hips muscles to push the pedals with his whole leg. He thrives on the speed and adrenaline, and the fact that he can be out in front battling for first place. Matt loves all cars, but has a special place for classics and dreams of one day racing in Classic F1 and also Classic Le Mans in a GT40, like one of his heroes Ken Miles. Matt’s other racing heroes include @billymongerracing, @maxverstappen1, @landonorris, Nikki Laude and of course the great Ayrton Senna.
