What an honour to play a small part in such an extraordinary drama. Charlotte Proctor was based on two real life people & the research that writer #LukeNeal & Team did for everyone was so incredibly detailed & appreciated by all of the actors! Lukes writing is exceptional & he (& the Team) have worked tirelessly for 5 years to get this story to screen. Director @lewisaea has done a stunning job with this story & told it so beautifully & sensitively, honouring the victims & survivors. Its been on my wishlist to work with Lewis for a number of years- his work is always stunning & the atmosphere he creates on set is electric! Every shot was a masterpiece. Hes the BEST! And what a bloody stellar job @verbalictor & @sethwinnie did with the cast! 🏆 🙌 David Tennant, Danny Mays, Jason Watkins, Barry Ward, Ron Cook, Ben Bailey Smith, Chanel Cresswell, Faye McKeever, Laurie Kynaston... and SO many more! All the creatives, crew & designers smashed it outta the park. 🥰 Proper Team effort! 10 years ago today I released my first album “Many Seasons”. When the label that released it collapsed some years ago, it was pulled from the internet. Out of shyness for my younger self, I hesitated to put it back up. Some old friends wondered where it went, while newer friends didn’t even know it existed. Today I’m happy to say the record is finally streaming again. The songs here were my first: songs of love, heartbreak, grief, friendship and youthful loneliness. While in the past I’ve felt bashful toward my early vocals and some of the lyrics, I’m also very proud of the record. I recorded it in San Francisco at @hydestreetstudios with @mrmcdowell. It was the first time I worked in a studio—the musicians who played on this record are still dear friends of mine and formed the foundation of my musical community. My best friend Emily Ritz @lumpland illustrated the album cover, @darenrabinovitch contributed his hand lettering, and @prismvision did the layout. The album features performances by @bobbykamalino @ezralipp @trolw @nickaives @honeymoontree @geographermusic @jamesriotto @theblanktapes and Nathan Blaz. Безумно интересно узнавать истории от участников @window_residency. Сложно представить, что будет, когда-нибудь наш проект завершится 💔 Я привыкаю раз в 5 дней слушать о жизни и отношении к ней от совершенно разных людей, с другим менталитетом и образом жизни. Недавно я и сама стала рассказчиком. Сейчас так интересно наблюдать, какие работы присылают участники! Вот так меня увидели Марта @m.art.az и Андрей @dronopofos Я рассказывала о проблемах с рукой и небольшом воскрешении. Рука все еще иногда ноет, но я надеюсь, что скоро полностью восстановлюсь. Полную версию истории я прикреплю внизу в комментарии. ***И кстати, я давно хотела поделиться мыслями о бездействии, о том, что сейчас принято быть активными и успешными, показывать свои сделанные дела за день и списки будущих. А я очень неактивный человек, постоянно нахожусь в режиме экономии энергии. И меня часто упрекают в этом. И я всегда старалась доказать, что быстрее, веселее, энергичнее, чем есть. It’s the last day of September, #nationalsuicidepreventionmonth and I struggled on how to shine a light on this very real issue, but we must share because we actually lost someone very dear to us and want to #breakthestigma in hope to help someone through Elaine’s life. Many of you already know our story or have read it on our website about the co-founder of E2beauty, Elaine, but for those who do not know, In 2017, Elaine had taken her own life. It was tragic and for some, it was very unexpected. I have been reading many posts on @realdepressionproject and as much as I don’t know whether my actions would have changed the situation, I wish I knew about this site as a resource or to better understand. Biggest thing I have learned is that it is a very lonely struggle to have a mental illness and it is also hard to know how to support someone with one. During this year I have thought about Elaine a lot and I can’t help to think about how she would have been during this pandemic. It would have been extremely hard. So, I ask you to check in with your family and friends to see how they are doing. Maybe even send some snail mail or have a phone call or zoom. Or if you need a place to unwind in a safe place, come get your hair done and talk. We are not therapists, but we are here as real people to listen without judgement. Our team has gone through many struggles together and we are here for you too.
