I am not okay. After this past summer, I vowed to never push myself like that again... But now I still pay. I have been miserable with my pain. Getting my reviews done and papers in between which helps my sanity in ways, but then I instantly crumble again. I cant walk farther than 8 to 10 feet with my cane right now, I cant walk at all without my cane, I cant sleep or eat barely let alone prepare food for myself or my family. I snap everyday with anger and sadness. I keep saying I cant keep going and I feel like right now my family is not fully getting it. I am the worst I have been since we moved. I digressed from 80% disability to 90% in the matter of months. I am angry. I am scared. Scared this is my life now and I hurt myself trying to push for reasons and me pushing made no difference what so ever. Im scared. Scared of the pain right now. It feels like there is a knife wedged in my lower back and every breath feels like it twist and walking brings tears to my eyes after 5 steps right now. I am not okay and though I am trying to be, I am not. I have moments where I handle it, but very few. Mostly I am loosing my shit right now. I am typing this at 2am though you will most likely see this the next day. I cant sleep, I rotate ice constantly. The last few nights I have been taking high doses of melatonin to try to sleep, because the pain is screaming too loud for me to try to shut my eyes. Its a bunch of bullshit. I always say I am not okay, but I will be, but this time? I am just praying I am and begging God to not let this be irreversible damage. 3 weeks into July my body threw in the towel and now? It just hurts yall. Many people just starting out in their photography journey don’t think too much about exposure levels or light contrast ratios, and that’s perfectly alright.
