Today was full of all the tests and not a whole lot of answers. All we know right now is that Nova will be going to the OR at some point tomorrow for a shunt revision with catheter replacement/repositioning, wound revision, and possible externalization. - I also feel compelled to say that I am staying away from the news right now for obvious reasons but a reminder while there are currently two people “debating” on the television in attempt to “win” our country’s presidency that only one of those people has proudly and openly mocked a person with my child’s disability from a podium and wants to take away their health care, social security, and so much more. So, if you’re paying any kind of attention to anything please vote like our queer/trans/disabled/multiracial/blended family’s lives depend on it. Whether you have lived here your entire life, or youve just moved here in the last month, I hope Minnesota is a place that you can call home. This summer obviously has been one of the hardest in our history. With COVID, the protests downtown after the murder of George Floyd, racial inequality, businesses & schools shutting down, all of it has a lot to handle. This is the time when we need to rely on our neighbors and we cant even talk to them. It seems like the only place that we can talk is online. And even that can be hard. People have dissenting opinions. Who knows how these companies are tracking us. But its our lifeline to others. When I first started TCC back in 2016, I remember somebody posted in our FB group saying they had lived here for 4 years and they had no friends. That has stuck with me, and that has remained my goal is to help people find connections as well as learn how to promote their businesses their blogs and their brands. Thats it. Thats the goal. This week we launched @twincitiescollectiveacademy. As I was planning it last month, I had to decide if I was going to name it after TCC, or if I was going to name it after marketing or social media, like the social media Academy, because it would help more people beyond the Twin Cities. But I went back to my mission, and really back to the uniqueness of what we have and that is that it has catered specifically to people in this area. There are lots of programs online that teach marketing and if I went that route I’d lose that uniqueness of it being focused on social media marketing from a local biz. Im so grateful that we are able to stay connected during this time of COVID. One of our slogans is “MN online and offline community”, and really weve really had to go all in on our online communities, with our Facebook group & our email list. So when I decided to stay with the TCC name in the academy, obviously people beyond the Twin Cities can take the classes but really, I wanted to focus on our community and pay tribute to the people who have made TCC what it is. There are over 5 million people in MN & I want everyone to be able to stay connected now & in the future #twincitiescollective - @twincitiescollective on Instagram

Last night, Chrissy Teigen shared this heartbreaking photo after the loss of her baby due to pregnancy complications. Right now she is getting a lot of hate for sharing so publicly, but I don’t think anyone should be able to tell anyone else what is an appropriate way to grieve. The Miscarriage Club is a very large club, but many of us are led to believe that we carry this pain alone. I wish when I had experienced my first miscarriage, I knew how common it was, so that I was more prepared. It happened at work. I was in a tremendous amount of pain, but discreetly found a co-worker friend to help me and get me to a hospital. I never explained why I left and I made sure I got all my work done the next day like nothing had happened. Women deal with so much in silence that the world never knows. Is that more healthy? Gathered with a few friends for a backyard hang yesterday to celebrate our birthdays ♥️ Thank you for all of the well wishes. 26 was a wild year. From incredible adventures as @ryanjhaddad’s entourage, pouring hours into our industry showcase, lots of time in NYC with @chefcurtisbell, performances, and getting my biggest audition to date... and then the world stopped, and I zoomed out. All of the sudden I didn’t care what audition I was trying to get an appointment for, or what performance was coming up... I was tuned into the greater picture of this world, this country, its health, its justice, its progress, its downfalls, and its hopes. My silver linings of this time are 1. Getting to live in Colorado with my love Curtis, and 2. Remembering that my time in this world is not all about me. Mi hija Leonor a sus escasos 12 días comenzó con su crisis de lactancia, algo que se habla poco pero es vital para cada ser humano, con un desgaste físico y emocional de la madre nuestra hija empieza a demandar mas lactancia símbolo de que esta creciendo. Ahora como padre uno debe estar ahí para apoyar en todo sentido, empiezo a recordar sentimientos hacia mi madre al dejar todo listo y limpio, y pienso que para ella siendo madre soltera tuvo que haber costado el doble o más... en mi mente solo puedo decir gracias por enseñarme mas de la vida. La paternidad debe ser acompañada por ambos o tener el tiempo suficiente para ambos, el papá tiene derecho a un permiso pagado de 5 días posteriores al nacimiento de su hijo/a, el que puede utilizar en forma continuada desde el momento del parto, o distribuirlos durante el primer mes desde la fecha del nacimiento, algo que se queda corto ya que solo alcanzas inscribir a mi hija y ayudar en los trabajos de la casa (lavar, tender, cocinar, limpiar, comprar, etc.). La pandemia es un poco bipolar y cruel, me permite tener contacto con mi hija pero al mismo momento debes responder con el trabajo. Se acerca las votaciones para una nueva constitución y les digo que para cambiar la situación actual hay que: + aprobar y elegir +convención constitucional opción que implica que todos los miembros serán electos por la ciudadanía para este fin en particular. Para que las futuras paternidades sean vista como algo vital para la sociedad Chilena y no como un tramite y mano de obra que se pierde. Boy or girl, I never in a million years thought I would be pregnant 2 weeks prior to a global pandemic starting. Never. This pregnancy was written in the stars. Florida was Fun. And Islands of Adventure, this particular park, was one of Davids top pursuits this past week. So- David lost his Dad recently this month, early, at merely 68 years young. We’d been spending time in North Carolina, where his Dad spent the last 15 years, in a beautiful home that I had never even seen before. ... After handling some of the most important aspects of his Dad’s bereavement, David decided the way he wanted to remember and commemorate his father was to go to Orlando and experience all the various theme parks- which is what they used to do together, alone, when he was a kid. ... ... The past 2 weeks have been some of the hardest weeks of my life, I felt in to heavy depression and anxiety, to the point that I couldnt eat or sleep and had to have a nurse come to my house and hydrate me because i couldnt even get off my bed. I share this as a testimony because God restored me and gave me back my strength using my friends and family. From the comfort of your own home, you can adjust the exercise to suit your pace which has been helpful for me. Intramurals have impacted me in so many ways, where do I even begin! It has allowed me find a sense of belonging in a community that is so supportive of one another. Being an international student, I have always struggled with my own identity; I constantly wonder where I belong and where I fit in. So I am extremely grateful that intramurals have allowed me to do what I have been able to do, such as meeting some of my best friends, building a network of connections, and exploring new career paths. On top of all of these benefits, I have been able to stay active and try sports that I never thought I would be attempting. The beauty of Intramurals is that anything is possible (except the server of IMLeague haha). One time, I saw that there was an Inner-tube Waterpolo Tournament that I wanted to try but Vic doesn’t have a team so I asked my friends from KPE who I met through Intramurals if I can join their team. Do you ever have those moments when you look at your significant other and think, “Wow, I just felt myself fall deeper in love with them.” I had one of those moments tonight. We were flying home when Charley started freaking out a little. The pressure in her head was killing her and I couldn’t get her to calm down. I asked Dave if he could talk to her over the radio in attempt to soothe her. Instead he left the pilot up front, climbed in the back, and cuddled her on his lap. He did many things to help her, but I know what calmed her the most was having his full attention when she was in need. Now anyone who knows @heavydsparks knows it’s a pretty big deal for him to leave the cockpit.. Especially when I’m in the back, fully capable of taking care of our kids. — I hope what I’m about to say next is understood correctly, because to me it ends up being one of the best compliments I could ever give Dave. If I were to describe him as a dad, I would probably say parenting didn’t necessarily come naturally to him. 🙊 (Sorry for the dis babe. You’re a natural at everything else though so I don’t feel too bad saying it. 😏) HOWEVER, hear me out! I have watched this man honestly transform over the years. Please don’t get me wrong, he’s ALWAYS been a good dad. But he’s traded from it not really being his strong suit, to now 👏🏼ab👏🏼so👏🏼lute👏🏼ly👏🏼kill👏🏼ing👏🏼it. FAKES: Just in the last month, my work has been featured in two, large online publications/platforms without any “Artist Credit” to the work. You may think, yeah that’s cool, what’s she moaning about. Then on Friday, thanks to my mate Ben Rider @zombiesqueegee drew my attention to a massive on-line selling platform @redbubble who’s sellers “Protesttees” & (Jane Keeper- only my work) has plagiarised our work (& many other artists we know) from what appears to be the artwork that was featured in the book, ‘Stick It To The Man’ sticker bomb book. . Following this thread, I then went to find 3 other on-line selling platforms with various sellers who are also using my work, with each having a range of 45-70+ products with my work on them🤯. One site included is the @teepublic ; user Surfskate & Festivallr. It’s a fucking mine field tbh & it’s left me paralysed in the last few days. I’ve been devastated about how these works that I created with honest intend have been taken completely out of context (many which are not even put up for sale by me) used & placed on products like masks, mugs & cushions. It’s a complete farce without their original intent. ————————————————————— I don’t want your sympathy (as I’m dealing with this situation & it’s not my first time in this rodeo) or want your rage! What I want is better PROTECTION for us! I want people, photographers, galleries, journalists, bloggers & social media enthusiasts to understand that, every time you publish an artwork which has no credit attached to it, the image is lost into the ether, especially on platforms like Instagram or The Evening Standard, which published my work without an artist credit! They are making it very very hard for us to prove that the work we’ve done is OUR’S, especially when it comes for us fighting our case against plagiarist scums like these- so yes, just incase you didn’t know, I have to spend days, going through my archives, images/ books/ articles to “Prove” that the work the plagiarists have stolen are mine & it’s not the other way around.
