Groß Dölln VI 2020 Es geht mal wieder nach Dölln, bestes Wetter und für den Termin haben wir die Streckenvariante ABC abgesteckt. Zum Glück war es ein bißchen bewölkt und dementsprechend nicht so heiß, also beste Bedingungen. Sechs Turns standen für alle Teilnehmer auf dem Programm dementsprechend platt und mit einem breiten Grinsen ausgestattet ging es dann Richtung Feierabend. Aber nur fast, denn das RookieRace stand noch aus. Nach dem gemeinsamen Abendessen gab es noch einen Streckenrundgang bei dem unsere Instruktoren noch wertvolle Tipps für den Freitag verteilten. Auch am Freitag blieben die Temperaturen erträglich und wir konnten nochmal den ganzen Tag am Kabel ziehen. Für alle diejenigen die noch nicht genug hatten wurde ab 18:00 die Streckenvariante A abgesteckt und die Moppeds, Roller und sonstiges Fahrerlagergestühl an den Start geschoben. Eine Stunde ging es im Kreis, 13 Teams mit den unterschiedlichsten Gefährten schenkten es sich unbarmherzig ein. Kratzende Rollerverkleidungen, jammernde Kolben und ächzende Kupplungen, Rennaction vom Feinsten und es hat mal wieder einen Höllenspaß gemacht. Wir hatten wie immer sehr viel Freude mit Euch und möchten uns bei allen Teilnehmern, Helfern und Unterstützern für das tolle Training bedanken. Yesterday was a difficult day for me and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Ralph Hudson. He left such an impression on anyone who was lucky enough to know him. The Philip Island Classic brought us together as he let me borrow his bike to race in Oz. His passion for going fast was so infectious and his stories were told without an ounce of ego. He went to Bolivia in 2018 & went 307mph at 68yrs young. His accomplishments & world record runs while impressive will never live up to the man he was. He was always there to make someone else’s life better. Going to miss my hour long phone conversions with Ralph but man am I lucky that I got to spend the time I did with him. Mercedes SLR McLaren Stirling Moss 🏁🖤 Der Mercedes SLR McLaren Stirling Moss schloss das umstrittene Kapitel der Zusammenarbeit von McLaren und Mercedes ab. Zusammen konstruierten die beiden damaligen Formel-1-Partner den Mercedes SLR McLaren auf Basis des Mercedes SL55 AMG. Am Ende rauften sich die beiden zerstrittenen Unternehmen zusammen und heraus kam mit dem Stirling Moss-Sondermodell einer der extremsten und seltensten Roadster aller Zeiten. Er hatte kein Dach, keine Klimaanlage und keine Windschutzscheibe. Was er hatte, war abgedrehtes Retro-Design, das an das 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé von 1955 erinnern sollte. Damit gewann Sir Stirling Moss die legendäre Mille Miglia Rallye und stellte damals sogar einen Geschwindigkeitsrekord auf: im Schnitt hatte der Brite mehr als 157 km/h drauf.
