I finally hung this lamp! It’s been sitting in our guestroom for a few months now, just waiting for me to figure out where it would show itself best. So up, it finally went! ( I actually hid the cord in the seam of the shiplap that we put up, so you can’t even see that it’s there and it runs behind the black cabinet and into a plug👏 I really love having an accent light on in the evening and this light is pretty unique and is perfect with the glow of the Edison bulb! Eu dei uma resposta para o momento, mas a pergunta continuou reverberando! Até que eu resolvi fazer uma viagem para o meu profundo e escondido. Também me debrucei sobre um vasto material, e aos poucos fui respondendo a pergunta! Foi um processo lindo, porque a medida em que fazia descobertas eu também fui o laboratório. O desvendar da alma, por exemplo, me trouxe a definição de que seus componentes (pensamentos, sentimentos e emoções) precisam ser trabalhados constantemente para não causarem danos ao corpo e nem ao espírito. Aí mora o perigo! Sou muito grata à Deus pela maravilhosa tutoria nesse processo, ninguém melhor do que o Espírito Santo para nos capacitar! O mapa dos caminhos nessa jornada me levou a muitas fontes de conhecimentos, e cada uma delas estará sempre presente na continuidade da minha busca por equilíbrio. Day 7 of my 30 day challenge ..I’ve had a few people ask me about my 30 day challenge.. Basically I started this 30 day challenge with myself after spending some time with some incredibly successful and driven individuals . Given I’m a single mom, who has her kiddos 100% of the time, works full time and is trying to maneuver through daily life during Covid, it has taken its toll on me a few times.. Therefore, I have dedicated myself to a few fitness,work and journaling goals, which are designed to keep me on track and find a little inspiration during trying times. My hope is by the end of the 30 days I can attain my goals, with a little bit of accountability in place ... and hopefully inspire others to do the same. I had an amazing time at Governors Island 🌴 with @collectiveretreats @lovestoriestv and @maggiesotterodesigns ! It was my first time G L A M P I N G ! I didn’t even know it had its own name ! Lol I loved every second of the experience! The food was amazing! The view was magical! And the room had every amenity you would need! At night, It did get a little cold on the island. But, the room was warm as it came with a heater. My favorite part of the room was the bathroom! I’m a sucker for an outdoor standup shower. This one wasn’t fully outside, but the fact that I knew that there weren’t any real walls... and with the natural wind.. I was able to enjoy it that much more! Black and White cookies! My inner child is so happy right now 🖤😁🤍 Kid Friendly Recipe👇🏼 . . . Ingredients For the cookies * 3 cups all purpose flour * 1/2 teaspoon baking soda * 1/2 teaspoon salt * 12 tablespoons (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter at room temperature * 1 1/2 cups sugar * 2 large eggs, at room temperature * 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract * 2/3 cup buttermilk For the glazes * 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar * 1/4 cup buttermilk * 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Directions 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line two sheet pans with parchment paper or spray lightly with nonstick cooking spray. 2. Sift the flour, baking soda and salt into a mixing bowl and set aside. 3. Beat the butter in the bowl of a standing mixer with a paddle attachment at high speed until it is light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. 4. Add the sugar, and continue to mix on medium-high speed until smooth, about 1 minute. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl with a rubber spatula halfway through mixing to ensure the butter and sugar are well mixed. 5. 6. Add the eggs and mix until combined. Again, scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl to make sure that the ingredients are incorporated. 7. Add approximately half the flour mixture and mix on low speed just until the mixture is incorporated, about 30 seconds. Add the vanilla and buttermilk and mix until combined, about 15 seconds. 8. Add the remaining flour and mix until combined, about 15 seconds. Remove the bowl from the mixer and scrape down the sides and bottom with a rubber spatula to make sure the flour is fully incorporated. Compared with other, drier cookie doughs, this dough has a more pasty consistency. 9. Using a small ice cream scoop or a tablespoon measure, scoop the cookie dough about 1 inch apart onto the prepared pans. Bake for 18-20 minutes, rotating the pans once halfway through, until the edges of the cookies are golden brown. This year has been challenging for all of us in so many ways and it’s no secret that I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs. Being in the spotlight since I was 17 has given me lots of highs and low’s. As you all know I’m judged for everything I do and at times it’s taken it’s toll on my mental health. I made a decision to get help and also to start looking after my physical health too. After my accident and with everything going on in the world, being healthy has never been so important. @carljwoods has been such an amazing support and I feel so excited that we’ve found something that is helping us both feel great. I feel my stars are finally aligned, I have a beautiful family, a gorgeous and caring man by my side and for the first time in a long time, I am truly happy. A year ago today I left New York City after being there for 7 years. I didn’t know what my next step was going to be. I was cluelessly but I knew CALIFORNIA was home. Sim, tudo isso para dizer que a pessoa desta foto mudou muito, que precisamos urgentemente atualizar as fotos do escritório e que estou imensamente feliz com os tombos e com os novos rumos de 2020! . One day when I was having the most unpleasant day, I decided to cheer myself up by creating a fairy tale photoshoot at Belvedere Castle in Central Park. I put on this magnificent dress and a rhinestone encrusted headband from TJ Maxx (😆) as my tiara and headed out with my Prince Charming, Jack. Even though life can be hard and has certainly been very difficult for so many people lately, I find comfort in my dreams and hope in my fairy tales. I believe in the magic of my imagination and the ideas and creations my heart brings to life. What a week it has been. Yesterday our team hit the largest revenue week in team history . A current team member had one hell of a freaking killer week and I couldn’t be happier for her. I trained a new team member that I could cry of excitement of how excited I am to watch her grow and succeed . Our fearless leader was nominated yet again for another well deserved award. And I personally hit my largest day of revenue , ever. 🙏🏽 ✨ Yesterday I ended my day in a bathing suit , poolside in the sunshine, with one of my best friends (and our pretty awesome guys 😏)full of so much dang gratitude. Reminding myself of all the positives in the midst of such a chaotic time. I know how uncertain times may be . I know everyone is experiences different shifts in transitions during this time , but let’s take a second to remember the wins we are experiencing - no matter how big or how small they may be . Our family, our friends, being able to wake up healthy and see another day. A simple shift in mindset may just make a major shift in your days. CHECK OUT MY BUNS 😍 . . . Easy Vegan Cinnamon Buns! Ingredients For the yeast * ½ cup warm water, 110° * 1 (¼-ounce) package active dry yeast * 1 teaspoon cane sugar Dough * ⅓ cup melted coconut oil, plus more for brushing * ½ cup almond milk, at room temp * ⅓ cup cane sugar * 1 teaspoon sea salt * 2¾ cups all-purpose flour, plus more for kneading Filling * ½ cup brown sugar * 1½ tablespoons cinnamon Glaze * 1½ cups powdered sugar, sifted * 3 to 4 tablespoons almond milk * ½ teaspoon vanilla extract Instructions Grease an 8x11 or 9x13-inch baking dish. In a small bowl, stir together the water, yeast, and sugar. Set aside for 5 minutes, or until the yeast is foamy. Make the dough: In a medium bowl, combine the coconut oil, almond milk, sugar, and salt. Stir in the yeast mixture. Place the flour in a large bowl, then add the yeast mixture and stir until combined. The mixture will be sticky. Use your hands to roughly knead the mixture, then turn it out onto a floured surface. Knead 3 to 4 minutes until smooth, sprinkle with more flour if needed, and form into a ball. Brush a large bowl with coconut oil and place the dough inside. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside in a warm place to rise until doubled in size, about 60 minutes. Make the filling: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Punch down dough and roll out on a floured surface into a 20x14-inch rectangle. Brush with 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar to within ½ inch of the edges. Starting at one of the short 14-inch ends, roll tightly into a log, then slice into 12 rolls. Place the rolls into the baking dish cut-side up, cover, and let rise for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Make the glaze: In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons almond milk, and vanilla until smooth. If it’s too thick, add more almond milk. Bake the rolls 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly golden on top. Remove and allow to cool for 10 minutes, then drizzle the glaze on top and serve - @jackbakesnyc on Instagram
