I’ve been sharing our family’s journey in my “stories” on Instagram. The amount of support, virtual hugs, kind words, and encouragement I have received have been overwhelming. There have been just of many of you guys who are experiencing or have experienced something similar- and it breaks my heart. . It used to feel like I was waiting for a miracle that was never going to happen and it left me in a constant state of anxiety & robbed me of joy. However, if our journey has taught me anything, it’s that joy & contentment can be found on this side of Heaven. It’s easier said than done, but you “just” have to submit to the Lord and ask for it- and He’ll guide you there. And where you end up will be a place you never had intended to go and it’ll be beautiful. I have a small family, Mom and Dad, one brother (his wife and three kids), and mine (6 total)but we have not all been together...ever. I remarried in 2015 and my niece and nephews couldn’t come. Every time I went home to Idaho to visit it was just a few members of my blended family never all of us together. With so many new friends here, I wanted to share a bit about who we are and what this space is about. We are the Nobles family! For the past 5 years we have felt a nudge to “return to our roots”. A desire to become more self sufficient, grow our own food and be more in touch with nature and it’s rhythms. Since we both grew up in the city, we moved to a slightly more rural county and thought we had moved to the country 😂 We added chickens, ducks and rabbits. We also created our first garden and that has been such a fun learning experience. After living here for 4 years, we are ready for more. More freedom and more space to raise our 4 kids. We want them to know how to raise animals and grow their own food. We made the decision today, to move forward with buying 35 acres of land in the town over from us. I don’t post many photos of these critters anymore. It’s been an intentional action on my part (as is everything I post on social media). Honestly, I’m still processing; still trying to figure out where I’m at with my convictions moving forward, what that looks like and how I will allow my children to be seen in this space in the future. Sister, this world we are living in is straight up nuts. 2020 has shown us the deep-seeded evil that is present and lurking; just waiting to exploit anything pure and innocent in its path. While I don’t make decisions based on the evil in this world, it’s imperative that I’m doing my part to protect my children on every possible level. I used to think my friends who refuse to show their kids faces online were crazy. I kinda rolled my eyes when mamas blur out their babe’s faces. But now, not so much... Like I said, there’s been lots of processing, lots of praying, and lots of time to focus my intentions elsewhere while I wait for clarity. What I do know is I fully intend to do everything in my power to protect my children. Activating that dormant, protectively fierce warrioress/mother archetypes and taking whatever precautions necessary; listening for guidance along the way. We aren’t in control of everything, but you better believe I’m taking action on the things that are in my sphere of control. I learned something important about photographing families when I was at the sunflower field a couple weeks ago. Happy world breastfeeding week, mommas!! ❤️❤️❤️ Breastfeeding can be challenging, but its just so rewarding and fulfilling! 😍 When I went back to work 7 months ago, there were days when I felt bad coz I thought my breastfeeding journey will be affected... I made sure that I continued to pump (at work and home) and breastfeed directly when Im at home. Its been more than 2 years and were still nursing! 💕💗💓 My daughter just loves her mommys milk! In my parents’ lifetime, interracial marriage was illegal in many states. I think about the fact that Jason has, and will be the greatest love of my life and In the 1960’s there were people who felt like this, loving each other on a cosmic level and were not only barred from marriage, but LEGALLY PROSECUTED if they married in another state or in secret. I don’t like attributing my marriage to politics because historically politics can be divisive and dirty, while My relationship with Jason is one of the purest most honest things Ive been involved in manifesting. However, I am proud to attribute it in support of #blacklivesmatter activism. As much as the opposition and establishment want to tarnish this movement, there is nothing more pure and honest as Americans advocating for their countrymen to be equally protected and invested in. These last few weeks have made me reevaluate the understanding of my privilege both as a white citizen in the present and as someone who got to marry the man of her dreams, a benefit from equal rights activism of the not so distant past. So for all who managed to hang on through my TED talk, I urge all of you who question this movement to open your hearts and ears as I do with you. It’s crazy how much can change in just a few days. Dan snapped this photo last week and since then Graham started backwards-crawling, wearing shoes, pulling hats off his head, giggling hysterically at pig snort sounds 🐷🐽, and absolutely hating lying down (🙈). Which brings us to that time of day- Our #dailydose of #philosophy💫 Today’s philosophy is all about #FOOD, and what it means to us. We love food! When we hang out, it’s usually the first thing we have to do. We get our coffee, we get our food, we hang out for awhile, then we get some more food..And it’s a never ending cycle for us. Just like many cultures, we believe it’s a way to bring people together. It’s def sometimes the glue that holds us together. 😂😂We would def consider ourselves foodies. We just love food! . We get the energy from it, and man does it fuel us. We get really hi off eating, then sometimes we eat too much. Sometimes we don’t eat enough. It’s something we’ve come to work on, and find the #balance with in our lives. We are both really into eating healthy, working out, and are always aiming for a healthier lifestyle. Hey there Friday this for you. So yesterday didn’t go as planned. We started our road trip to see my friend bright and early...who am I kidding, we were off like a heard of turtles. Our car was packed with so much food, toys for the kids and even a side o the road toilet. We were prepared!! 30 minutes into the drive Luca was car sick barfing everywhere. We cleaned her seat up with bottles of water and hand sanitizer and we were back on the road. About 6 hours in we got a call that my friends house had been flooded from a leak. So we turned around and headed home. Not every day goes as planned (especially lately, 2020 you’ve been a real booger). So here’s to bad days and good days and making life a journey. If they were all perfect the beautiful moments wouldn’t be so high. And how boring would a life be if it was all perfection. We created this brand to highlight how good being home can be, despite missing going to restaurants, easy airplane travel and everything else that Covid has made difficult we enjoy being Hapi at home. I had three conversations this past week that boiled down to the age old question...”How do you do it all?” . Most women (it’s not a question men are asked 🙄) are asked how they do it all at some point in their life. . What I’ve learned is people who seem to do it all, actually have just figured out how to maximize their strengths, delegate their weaknesses and god-willing have supportive family and friends. . There has never ever ever ever ever ever been a moment where I felt I do it all. I don’t even get close to doing it all. . My husband is a freaking stud! That would be my one insane secret weapon. . In other parts of my life I have people who show up! Whether it’s to be a shoulder, be a redirection, be an inspiration or motivation. . I rely on others. I ask for help. I do what I can as well as I can and I do nothing in a vacuum. There are always people around helping, encouraging, guiding, cheering and laughing. . I have had many moments in my life when I wondered how someone did so much, but I’ve stopped myself from believing anyone is doing it all. They aren’t!
