Cut a few strings just below a node (point where the leaf meets the stem) with sharp clean scissors ✂️ If you already find little tubers growing on the strings, cut below the aerial tubers („beads“). Make sure to have at least 1-2 nodes under water, bc that’s where the roots will appear. 𝟐. Remove the lower leaves of each string (prevents rotting and helps to keep the water fresh)🌿 𝟑. Let the cuttings callus over for a few hours (let it dry/ lie around). 𝟒. Fill a vessel/ jar with lukewarm (rain) water and put the cuttings in the water 💦 𝟓. Place the vessel/ jar in a bright spot with indirect light (but avoid intense light) ⛅️ 𝟔. Make sure to change the water every few days and maintain the water level. 💧 𝟕. Plant your cuttings in soil when the roots are a few inches long. Don’t wait too long, bc it might be harder for the plant to adapt to the soil. Whenever I want to propagate my Philodendron hederaceum Micans I just place it in a clear box and close the box for a week. Make sure to open the box once a day for a few minutes. 🌱humidity: prefers relatively high humidity. If you can manage to have a constant humidity at min 60% or more, you’ll make this guy very happy 💚 🌱soil mix: I use normal indoor plant soil mix and add around 20% perlite, topping it off with a layer of clay granules 🌱watering: make sure to never leave this guy dry. They love having a constantly moist soil. If you overwater, the leaves will start yellowing at the tips. If you tend to overwater, I recommend adding more perlite or bark to the mixture. 🌱 light: do not leave in direct sun as this will burn the leaves. Indirect but bright sunlight is the best!
