Miuccia Prada ci risponde via zoom da una stanza foderata di velluto verde. Si muove tra due specchi di Michelangelo Pistoletto e altre due opere d’arte, tutti alle sue spalle, come farebbe il personaggio di un film distopico. Mentre la guardo, penso non sia un caso se Francesco Vezzoli, per questo numero, l’abbia ritratta nei panni dell’agente segreto Lemmy Caution, protagonista del film Alphaville, pellicola del 1965 girata da Jean-Luc Godard e ambientata in un futuro dove l’umanità è minacciata dalla dittatura tecnocratica. «Be’, in effetti l’argomento mi interessa molto, ho passato tutta l’estate a discutere e interrogarmi sul ruolo attuale della tecnologia». Calibra ogni termine, ripete «questo lo dico però non lo scriva», ragiona ad alta voce e insegue le sue stesse parole come fossero gli abiti più idonei a vestire i suoi pensieri. Oggi è a capo di un impero che vale 3,2 miliardi di euro: «la signora», come tutti la chiamano, è un fiume in piena visto da lontano e la sua potenza, sapientemente mitigata dalla distanza che mette tra sé e i suoi interlocutori, si manifesta pienamente solo quando le si sta vicino (nelle silde un’anteprima dell’intervista. RIP OG ة You may not know her by name, but you most definitely know this legend’s restaurants. ة If 2020 couldn’t suck any more, the founder of Roberto’s Taco Shop, Dolores Robledo, died last week at 90. ة A devoted mother to 13 children, 39 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, AND the California Burrito, a press release says Robledo “loved cooking Mexican food for her family and friends.” ة Dolores Robledo ة She and her husband, Roberto, opened their first taco shop in San Diego in 1964. The restaurant, yellow and red with an impossibly long menu, was an instant hit with locals. ة By the mid-eighties, Roberto’s dominated the fast-casual /late-night Mexican food market in San Diego with scores of locations — and, copycats. Ahem, Alberto’s Gilberto’s Reyberto’s, Filberto’s, Bertoberto’s …. ة First Roberto’s ة In 1990, Robledo moved to Las Vegas and opened 57 restaurants in Nevada with her husband (who passed away years ago.) There are so many pieces of IU Cinema history in this photo, from the very first Jon Vickers Scoring Award film THE RETURN OF DRAW EGAN to the many notable guests Jon has interviewed over the years and the unmistakable patterns and textures of our theater. PROPAGANDA, décryptage de la rhétorique de limage. Projet de fin détude. Master de Direction artistique à Penninghen, Paris. En m’enseignant le graphisme et la direction artistique, on m’a placé un pouvoir entre les mains. Celui de manipuler les images. J’ai conscience que ce pouvoir peut être utilisé de la manière la plus noble comme la plus contestable. C’est pourquoi mon projet de fin d’étude traite de la propagande. Je m’interroge sur la manière dont l’émotion et les codes graphiques sont utilisés pour convaincre. La propagande étant l’origine même de mon métier, je ne pouvais entrer dans le monde professionnel sans en questionner ses mécanismes.
