I cant write, I tried. This is just an exercise, bear with me. People will always find ways to accuse you, if you are posting something or not posting something. Dont wash your dirty linen in public, theyll tell you. And why people do that, because they want to believe that they are not alone. I write my story here to give out a message that I am suffering from a Writers block and if you are suffering from it too, you are not alone. Its one thing I love that hasnt left me(for now{hope it doesnt}). When you are passionate about something but you cant do it; it hurts you, well differently. Self doubt gets involved, frustration. (I cant think of another word) I tried to write. I was a graphomaniac in school. Dammit! my notebook and laptop are filled with awesome half finished stories. Social media has earned bad name over the years. Not an advocate but I use it to connect with people and to learn something new. I am not preaching depression over here. I want to know if you feel the same. Like Gulliver, the guy in the picture who always got into trouble for being in a wrong place with wrong people. He was either too big or too small. He landed in different worlds, did things to please different people of different kingdoms. Delusional to think they would accept him as their own. Some satire are hard to pick when your are young. Life gives you enough experience to understand it. - @sans_kari_ on Instagram

Welcome back, Boston 👋 October tickets are selling fast, but you can still reserve your spot to see At Dusk (Boston Common at Twilight) (1885–86) in the Art of the Americas Wing! Despite the old-fashioned charm At Dusk (Boston Common at Twilight) presents to viewers today, in #ChildeHassam’s time this scene was distinctly modern. Once an area of elegant residential row houses, many of the streets around the Boston Common recently had been transformed into a lively business district. 💌 Is there a work of art from the MFAs Art of the Americas Wing (@americasmfa) that youd like to learn more about? Comment with your requests, and well plan on featuring your choice in a future post. This one is for @becky.elana - @mfaboston on Instagram

This view of London from around 1600 is one of very few surviving paintings to give a generalised view over the City. It was drawn from the church tower of St Mary Overy (now Southwark Cathedral), which was a popular viewpoint for artists depicting the city. The vista is not topographically accurate, and has been compressed to include various landmarks. Starting at the left, we can see Whitehall, and prominently towards the right of the centre we can see Old London Bridge. Built between 1176 and 1209, it was the first stone bridge to cross the Thames. At that time, it was surmounted by houses, shops and a chapel, and its gatehouse on the Southwark side was regularly adorned with the severed heads of traitors, as can be seen here. The houses were removed and the bridge widened in the late 18th century before it was finally demolished in 1831. To the far right, we can see the river bend. The artist is unknown, but likely to be from the Netherlands. The piece relates to a print by Clement de Jongh ( fl. 1640-70) and has been tentatively dated by means of technical analysis of the panel to 1625-1655. - @museumoflondon on Instagram

🎨: Desembarque de D. Leopoldina - Debret, 1818. . . .
