A pranzo visto che era una bella giornata andò con Aoi-chan nel cortile a pranzare però purtroppo il bento col suo pranzo finii a terrà perché fu colpito dalla pallina da baseball dei ragazzi che si stavano allenando, arrivata nel club di giardinaggio vide che ciò che stava coltivando da diverse settimane era stato mangiato dagli insetti. Per finire prima subito dopo le lezioni un ragazzo carine le si avvicinò per chiederle qualcosa, Nene si era già fatto mille filmini mentali ma appena senti ciò che aveva da dirle rimase di pietra, il ragazzo la umilió davanti ad altri ragazzi della scuola per via delle sue gambe, ormai cera abituata tutti le rinfacciavano che le sue gambe, in particolare le caviglie, assomigliassero a dei Daikon ma questa volta era diverso si sentii presa in giro e dal tono con cui il ragazzo glielo rinfacciava era davvero cattivo Che concime usi per quelle? Ma sono seriamente delle gambe? Sei grassa! continuava lui prendendosi gioco di lei ed intanto i ragazzi che si trovavano li presenti iniziarono a ridere delle battute che faceva su di lei e sul suo aspetto. Yashiro non disse una parola ma si senti tremendamente triste spintonó il ragazzo e corse via piangendo. Arrivata davanti al bagno si asciugó le lacrime visto che non voleva farsi vedere in quelle condizioni da Hanako Sono arrivata Hanako-kun! These last months have been disturbed by some health problems. The diagnosis has been made, the disease has been identified and the most appropriate treatments have been determined ⚕️ Thats why I wont be racing international competitions planned for 2020 (including WTS Hamburg this weekend) to give my body some time to learn to live with it and to adapt. Melothria pendula or Creeping cucumber. This little guy is the motivation behind my day walks in this heat and humidity 😅 After watching a certain Australian chef @chefmichaellewis forage around Singapore, I was inspired to do the same. It is a creeping vine with tiny elongated green and dark green berries. The green unripe fruits are edible raw and good for pickling. Tastes like cucumber, crunchy with fleshy seeds. It grows everywhere but the best patch is next to Mt Faber gondola station. Beware not to consume the dark green berries, it contains laxatives. Next thing to do is to see if it’ll grow in a pot in my garden. What a year thus far! @clarita_ayers is back for another season and Lauren joined us all the way from Indiana to be a @mofga apprentice with us. In short, they’re awesome. We’ve been pulling tons of food out of the ground and off vines. Third season underway and we have some really good systems down. CSA is up to 92 full shares and though in the early season it felt like a lot to take on, we have the swing of it now. Big plans in the works for next year. It’s been one week ✨ To the stars, the mother whispered her desire to meet her second child. “Wait”, they replied, “for he will be ready soon” The mother, father and sister waited and when divine timing had ripened, the stars sent forth the seed of light to be planted in the belly of the mother. Qualche tempo fa però, nello scoprire questa nuova vita che tra poco stringeremo tra le braccia, una cara amica mi disse che sarebbe stato bello che provassi a raccontare la nostra piccola storia per arrivare alla maternità. Le dissi che no, che qui troppo spesso ci si fraintende, che spesso si è giudicati e che mi faceva paura parlare di me, di noi: la nostra storia ha un (quattro) lieto fine mentre altre non ce l’hanno o non ci sono ancora arrivate, e non credevo potesse avere senso condividere. Oggi invece ci vogliamo provare, andando oltre le apparenze. Per noi la maternità (e paternità) non è stata scontata. Agnese, la nostra prima figlia, è arrivata dopo moltissimi anni di tentativi: anni di consulti medici e di sofferenze per non riuscire a fare una cosa che a chi ci stava intorno veniva molto facilmente. Esami, visite e medicine; attese, attese infinite e speranze poi spazzate via da un soffio. Lacrime, vergogna, discussioni e paura di non farcela a stare insieme (perché sì, a volte anche questo capita, di avere due velocità diverse e di far fatica a stare insieme, non sempre ci si stringe come coppia, a volte capita anche di darsi le spalle, e noi più volte abbiamo reagito così). Poi dopo tre cicli di terapia, lei è arrivata. E dopo tutta la fatica ecco la paura di non farcela, la paura che possa svanire. Ricordo i primi mesi come un incubo, avevamo timore di tantissime cose, di non arrivare in fondo. Alla fine ci siamo arrivati, stanchi ed insicuri, ma pieni di amore. Le altre gravidanze sono poi stati doni che la Vita ci ha dato, stupendoci e mettendoci alla prova, ogni volta in un modo diverso. (E no, non dipende, come alcuni commenti maligni hanno scritto, dal fatto che non abbiamo la tv). Ecco questo è un pezzetto della nostra piccola storia: non abbiamo formule magiche, non chiuderemo questo post con frasi d’effetto. Meet ‘Dwarf Mocha’s Cherry’ ... This is a “promising lead” from the Dwarf Tomato Project that actually may be ready for introduction in the near future. It has very compact plants that are loaded with small elongated fruit, and as you can see in the photos, very heavily pigmented with anthocyanin. While photographing at the @lizzyography workshop, we were taking some photos of this gorgeous little girl, in a gorgeous dress, with gorgeous light.
