Some solid progress made with the Marron 90 over the last week. Nothing dramatic, just lots of little things. Next week the roof will go on and that’s kind of the ‘first fix’ where all the basics are in place and I can then move on to the finishing side of things. I guess you can start to get an idea of how the car will look. That temporary seat is actually very similar in colour to the woven leather interior that’s being made for it, so it gives a bit of a feel for the colour scheme. Shown here is #49 (chassis number 17749) and it is finished in metallic black with a black leather interior. The car was first registered in April 2012 to @setoo9 where the car mainly resided in Luxembourg. Then in 2014, the car was purchased from @astonmartinparis by an Aston Martin collector and the car had only covered 2150KM. The car came back to the UK for new headlights to be fitted, which costed £13672, a recalibration of the speedometer to MPH and a throttle pedal replacement. Since then, the car has covered 4700KM from new and has done 2 trips to Le Mans. I was saddened to hear this week of the liquidation of Bristol Cars Ltd. When the last owners took over in 2011 they launched a rebranding exercise, with adverts to promote the brand while they developed a new car, and I was lucky enough to be asked to take photographs for them. As a long term owner of a Bristol car, this was scarcely work! This gorgeous Bristol 405D drophead was the first shoot we did together, at crack of dawn on a summer’s morn in central London. Lamborghini Countach LP5000S RHD in black with white and no rear wing has registration XEC457Y / 46SR and is one of two nearly identical low mileage black RHD Countach LP5000Ss - the other being A400YMH with a rear wing (see next post). This car was supplied new in June 1983 in RHD to Cyprus, then came into the UK in 1989. It was for sale at Amari Supercars in 2012 with just 400 miles. The car reappeared in 2015 as part of the 27 car supercar collection of Fawaz Al Hasawi (owner of Nottingham Forest Football club) all of which was bought by John Collins of Talacrest in 2015, by then with 523 miles. By 2018 Bentley Newcastle has the car for sale at 1010miles and 6 owners. Awesome car. Second photo with ex-Rod Stewart Lamborghini Miura 4863 JLL831K, which has now been fully restored by Lamborghini Polo Storico back to its original white. Привет друзья! Сегодня мы расскажем об уникальном купе BMW, который к сожалению не пошёл в серию Это BMW 2002 GT4 Frua! При всём разнообразии кузовов на базе Е10, купе так и не появлялся Пьетро Фруа работавший ранее в компании Glas, не дожидаясь одобрения от BMW изготовил собственное оригинальное купе на базе 2002ti и в декабре 1968 года, этот автомобиль был доставлен в офис БМВ в Мюнхене Автомобиль был представлен в октябре 1969 года на автосалоне в Париже, а годом спустя последовал второй экземпляр этого купе, и опять же на автосалоне в Париже. Салон обоих автомобилей помещал в себе четыре человека (поэтому и GT4) BMW GT4 был разработан на основе 2002 ti и всего было выпущено 2 автомобиля. Кузов автомобиля окрашивался в серебристый металлик. Стеклоочистители, дверные ручки и поворотники устанавливались от купе BMW 2800 CS E9, а задние фонари были взяты от Alfa Berlina 1750 Mk1 Купе BMW 2002 GT4 был на 8 см длиннее, 15 см шире и 14 сантиметров ниже, чем первоначальная модель седана 02 серии, а так же этот эксклюзивный автомобиль имел объем багажного отделения 450 литров. Интерьер был изготовлен из кожи и во многом был больше похож на интерьер BMW 2800 e3 Двухлитровый 4-цилиндровый двигатель M10 с двойным карбюратором производил 120 л.с. при 5500 об/мин, что обеспечивало весьма приемлимую динамику Передние тормоза устанавливались дисковые, а задние барабанные В настоящее время сохранен один экземляр Он восстановлен и принадлежит BMW AG А вообще товарищ Фруа в 60-е и 70-е сделал очень много интересных купе Больше классических BMW Вам! - @bmwclassics.ru on Instagram

OSCA MT4 chassis 1132 which I had the privilege of selling to a client a few years back. It raced at Le Mans in 1953 with Phil Hill, then won its class in 1954 with Phil Hill at Sebring. Pictured during its restoration for Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Then shown at PB in 2018. Its happening! After months of waiting we can finally confirm that Auto Italia is holding the Northern Italian Car Day at Raby Castle, County Durham. The event is open to Italian cars of all eras and there will be club and marque displays, and catering including delicious wood fired pizzas. Raby Castle has good access from the A1(M) and A66 main roads and ideal for Italian car owners based in Yorkshire, the North East and North West. Visitors can expect to see a stunning selection of Italian cars from Fiats to Ferraris and everything in between, displayed in a magnificent setting against the backdrop of the Castle and Deer Park. The event will be held from 10am onwards on Saturday 5th September and tickets must be booked in advance. Selected cars will be on display on the Castle Terrace, however the Castle interior will be closed during the event.
