They have a huggeee menu including Soups, Salads, Rice Bowls, Mock Meat, and more! I pretty much order the exact same thing every time and I’ve never been disappointed. The dumplings are addictiveee (I’m definitely getting 2 orders next time I’m there) and everything about my main was delish. This was my first time having the miso and it was also great! College Update 1: Since coming to college Ive experienced so much, from realizing the rigorous workload of college courses to cooking for everyone on my floor. These few months have been genuinely extrordinary. Despite the excitement that overwhelms me everyday, there is a continuous worry that lingers at the back of my mind: my restaurant. I wish that I could be there everyday, to develop new recipes, to chat with customers, and to further pursue my passion. On the contrary, I was able to find a resolution to one of my wishes because despite being in college, I realized that I can still pursue my passion for cooking. Yesterday, during our Friendsgiving dinner, I brought Elyssias Kitchen to UC Davis. With the help of my friends, I was able to bring the Pork with Cabbage Potstickers and Apple Cinammon Potstickers to our family dinner. Eventhough my college journey is just beginning, I look forward to bringing the newest recipes to Elyssias from college. P.S. Happy World Dumpling Day!! (one day late oops hahah) Karrion Yasai (meaning vegetables) Gyozas ($3.80) taste really good steamed. Compared to dumplings, Gyozas usually have thinner skins and more fillings. But the ones here have a thick and chewy skin encasing a very flavorful mixture of turnips, carrots, cabbage, mushrooms, black fungus, vermicelli and soya protein (mock meat). I like that the skin is made up of wholemeal flour (pretty rare sight) and much lower in sodium compared to many other frozen dumplings in the market. I personally feel that these Gyozas are comparable to the highly raved vegetarian dumplings offered at Real Food (a very popular vegetarian restaurant in Singapore) and is also much more affordable too!! About 30 cents each!? Definitely recommend these as they are lower in saturated fat, sodium, preservatives and trans fat free! This product also carries the healthier choice symbol. Homemade ones would definitely be healthier but sometimes we just need healthier convenient foods for busy days 😜 I bought mine from Prime supermarket, NTUC sells the meat and seafood options too but rarely the vegetarian version featured here. This summer, Stuntman turns 10. Over the years we have had the pleasure of working with some truly great brands, talented chefs and creators. In reflecting upon the past decade, we wanted to throw it back to our favorite collaborations and viral food innovations that the Stuntman team conceived together with our clients. First edition: the XL XLB at Drunken Dumpling. When the Shanghai-style xiaolongbao concept opened in the East Village with the former Executive Chef of Joe’s Shanghai in the kitchen, this shareable giant soup dumpling consumed with straws only existed in a few pockets of Shanghai, and was nearly unheard of stateside. SM proposed the concept for Drunken Dumplings Fall 2016 opening strategy, and before we knew it, folks were lining up down First Avenue and the restaurant was selling out daily. The ancient Romans used to eat a very similar paste called Moretum which basically herb cheese spread eaten with bread as bread was a affordable food for all that time. All the ingredients were crushed in mortar. Basil leaves as important ingredient was introduced in the receipe after many years around end of 19th century or start of 20th century I guess.
