Race Report: The Japanese Karting Championship 2020 Mobara Round : Ryota Horachi: FS-125 I learned a lot in the previous round and was determined to win in this round. However I didn’t have pace and struggled in free practice sessions. In qualifying practice, I failed to use a tow and ended up P12. My pace didn’t improve much in pre final and finished in P9, then moved up to P8 because one driver got penalized. I concentrated on the start of final and my pace was much better than qualifying, succeeded in moving up to the top group. Then the leader went far in front, so I was focusing to move up to the 2nd, but my race was suddenly over because the chain came off in the middle of the battle. The result was frustrating, but I’ll stay positive for the next round in Sugo. : Yuto Nomura: OK The contact in qualifying was very disappointing because I had the pace in round 3 to finish in a good position. So I tried to keep a positive mind for the rest of sessions. In round 4, I was able to finish the race in the best position among the DUNLOP users, feeling happy about accomplishing my minimal target. Thank you DUNLOP, EXGEL, my sponsors, team, mechanics, supporters and my family. The next round SUGO is the start of the latter half of the season. I will do my best to get on the podium. : Shunsuke Minagi: OK The results were quite disappointing because I won here at Mobara last year and had felt positive in the pre test. We were competitive enough against BRIDGESTONE and YOKOHAMA on Thursday and Friday, but the track condition suddenly changed in Saturday’s qualifying practice and couldn’t adjust the set-up. I should have stayed positive even though the situation was tough for me. Until the next round in SUGO, I will try to improve myself to maximize my capability whatever happens in a race week. The tires were clearly getting better after the season opener in Gotemba. Thank you everyone in DUNLOP for developing the tires as I desire. Now we know what we should do for further developments. P2 NA QUARTA ETAPA DO SKUSA WINTER SERIES . Fechamos o primeiro campeonato internacional do ano no pódio, meu primeiro na categoria Senior, e quase deu vitória. Final de semana muito positivo, mesmo com alguns contratempos, fiz duas etapas muito boas nesse final de semana, já que no sábado pela terceira etapa, um acidente na Pré Final me forçou a largar de P28, terminando a final em P8, com vinte ultrapassagens. Já no domingo pela quarta etapa, e final do #SkusaWinterSeries larguei de P5 na final, e consegui me manter na disputa volta a volta, chegando a primeira posição na última, e decisiva volta da corrida, quando terminei em P2. Resultado que veio para mostrar que estamos forte para a temporada desse ano aqui nos Estados Unidos. Many friends and rivals ask me what I like more: karting or Formula 4? I like karting so much, but my answer is F4. This is a big car with higher speeds and more work with setups. There are also basic elements of aerodynamics and slipstream. The races take place on the famous circuits. #AustrianGP Post-Qualifying Statement . Binotto: There’s no point denying that was a disappointing qualifying session. We knew the start of the season would be difficult for us and today’s result certainly confirmed that to be the case, even more so than we had expected. We have to analyse very carefully every aspect of our performance and compare it to the opposition, trying to understand why there is this gap. Now, we will prepare as well as possible for tomorrow’s race, which will be tough with plenty of unknown factors, more so than usual, it being the first of this strange season. It was a complicated event, one where I showed impressive speed, but simply did not have the luck required to garner a satisfactory result. Per come si erano messe le cose durante i turni di prove libere posso dire di essere soddisfatto del weekend a La Conca. Dopo 3 uscite ed una qualifica abbastanza deludente ( 17°) in prefinale con unottima partenza sono riuscito a recuperare tre posizioni e arrivare in 14^ posizione. Nella finale la partenza è stata anche lì geniale se non fosse per il fatto di essere scattato con qualche centesimo di secondo in anticipo che è bastato per darmi 10 sec. Di penalità . Allarrivo sono arrivato in 12^ posizione assoluta ( 9^ di categoria ) ma con la penalità in 15^posizione assoluta ( 10^ di categoria) sono riuscito a prendere un solo punto e sono stracarico per la gara di martina franca il 6/7 Aprile. Takaaki Nakagami will start todays first-ever Emilia Romagna Grand Prix from the fourth row of the grid. The 28-year-old from Chiba had a great start to MotoGPs second weekend at Misano, completing Friday’s opening two sessions second fastest, just two thousandths of a second off the best time. Alex Marquez qualified 17th fastest, just over one second off pole position. Once again Marquez has made steady forward progress as he continues his apprenticeship season in MotoGP. In Moto2, Somkiat Chantra and Andi Farid Izdihar had a challenging day, qualifying 26th and 28th. Moto3 rider, Ai Ogura was a mere six tenths off pole position, but that put him 12th. Oguras results have helped Honda take the lead in the Moto3 constructors title chase.
