This is GYAN Mudra, one of the most commonly used mudras, where the tip of the thumb and index finger are touching. It improves concentration, sharpens the memory and creates a feeling of calmness. Nooi Kee Lung (David Nooi) was raised in Klang, started off #Percussion & #Drum at the age of 6. After many years of learning Percussions & Drum , he had been participated some concerts which allowed him to obtain stage experiences when he was young. David Nooi is influenced by some of the great percussionist and drummers around the world such as Gary Gideon, John Ashley Thomas, Jojo Mayer, Vinnie Colaiuta, Gavin Harrison and many more , he started to learn modern drumming when he was 18 years old. After years of polishing his playing skills, he planned to pursue a higher level of musical knowledge by entering some master class with Gary Gideon and Martin Ngim. Madurai Shanmukhavadivu Subbulakshmi (M. S. Subbulakshmi) was a prominent Indian Carnatic singer and musician from Madhurai, Tamil Nadu. She was the first ever musician to recieve the lauded Bharat Ratna - Indias highest civilian honour. In addition to being a celebrated singer and a classical veenai player Subbulakshmi also starred in several films. Her first film Sevasadanam in 1938 was set in a contemporary social setting and was an advocate to reformist social policies. Prominant film critic Aranthai Narayanan stated that the film was a turning point in Tamil cinema. In the climax, the husband was shown casting aside with contempt his sacred thread,, which symbolises Brahmin superiority. It came as a stunning blow to the then Bramin orthodoxy. Subbulakshmi also played a male role in Savitri (1941) to raise money for the launch of her husbands Tamil weekly news paper called Kalki. The Sand family couldnt have scripted a more fortuitous turn of events. Many months ago when I first birthed the idea of taking the family band on an educational music tour of Europe I put out a vague call to my music program students, both in Philadelphia and online, to ask if anyone out there had any connections to anyone anywhere in Europe who may be able to plan any kind of concert or host us in any way. (Vague.) The very first response came from Sarah, whose family had enjoyed my online lessons while she was homeschooling in the US. She had since moved with her family to her Dutch husbands ancestral hometown of Orvelte, a museum village in the Netherlands, a tiny town tourists visit to step back into Dutch farm town life several centuries past. She invited us to stay with her on our travels. Score! But thats not the real twist. After making plans to visit this nether region of the Netherlands, Sarah learned that SIVO, an international dance and music festival that had been taking place elsewhere in the Netherlands for thirty years, would be planting itself in Orvelte this summer. Sarah told the organizers that a band performing world music for families was already planning to come, and together we agreed that the All Around This World band would headline their childrens activity area. Over the next few days Ill be posting photos from this inspirational international festival. With no plan besides 3 days of snowboarding at Bear Mountain and 2 days of a car audio expo in long beach, my dad and I explored California by deciding our next destination while we were already driving without a clue where to. I was called to Big Island almost a month ago. I was unsure as to why i felt so strongly to venture to the rootsy island before we went back into an inter island lockdown, but I listened to my intuition without time to second guess it. I booked my flight and flew over the next morning. I always knew Grandmother Ayahuasca would find me when it was my time to sit and learn, but little did I know it would be on this trip. Plants are the eldest and wisest form of life on this planet. And if we’re willing to be still and listen, more than imaginable lessons can be learned. What I was taught cannot be put into a caption, but what I gained was everything I needed and more. The medicine was earthy with a hint of sweetness. People began purging around me. I felt nothing. The medicine music began playing. I still felt nothing. 30 mins, an hour, still nothing. The shaman offered more medicine. I went back for another round. As I went to sit back down on my 4 x 2 mat it hit me. She told me I was stubborn and needed the second round to get through my thick scull. And then an overwhelming sense of love overcame me. I never grew up with loving grandparents, but she showed me what that felt like. I met with loved ones who have passed from this physical world, I saw my own death from different lifetimes, I healed traumas, was told secrets, discovered gifts. The shaman channeled messages about soul mates and twin flames which felt telepathically directed at me in a room full of others. And then she went into a water prayer 💧 I started laughing out loud, of coarse I was meant to come to Big Island for this. Along your journey you laugh at awakenings, you cry at realizations as you allow the medicine to move through your body it feels like lifetimes of an emotional roller coaster sending messages with each rise and fall. I left my phone on a completely separate property to disconnect from the social world entirely. To be present and connected. I did, however, have my film camera. 🌹HOW TO HELP ANXIETY & STESS🌹 🔻Move your body- Emotions are energy in motion, anxiety is felt physically in the body so moving and exercise will help to release it from, yoga, cycling, dance a work out. 🔻Sleep -Finding it hard to sleep? exercise will help to tire the body, less time scrolling, stop eating sugar and eating late at night. Light some candle, relax, do a meditation, have a bath. 🔻Food- Anxiety will be worse if your diet is all junk & processed foods. Try eating more fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds and plenty of water. Cut out coffee , sugar and White bread, anything processed and no alcohol. 🔻Listen to music- this helps to calm your mind and is soothing, listening to music raises your vibration and makes you feel happy. 🔻surrender- Allow the emotions to pass through you if you feel you want to cry then cry. If you feel anger punch a pillow or scream into a cushion. Try shaking and jumping up and down for at least 10 mins this helps to dissipate the energy out of the body. The more you can realise the emotions then less they manifest and stay in your body. 🔻Be kind to you self- The more we resist the feelings and the emotions the worse they get. Tell yourself it’s ok you feeling this way it’s normal for the way things are at the moment and rennet it won’t last for ever. Nothing lasts for ever not even the happy times. 🔻Get our in nature - as much as you can- nature is naturally calming and healing. Your vibration will sync to that of the earths and it will bring peace to you. Hug a tree, walk barefoot on the ground, star at the stars or watch the sun rise or ain’t set. 🔻Breath- when you’re in the anxiety breath slowly and deeply by pushing the belly out as you in hale and in as you exhale. This will help to bring your nervous system back into balance. Try counting your breath count in hale to the count of 8 and exhale to 8 🔻Art- when we are doing something we enjoy like painting, playing an instrument, singing, drawing, or baking anything you love to do. We sink into a meditation and lose teach of time and space. Our mind relaxes and we are stress free for that time. So do more of the things you love to do for fun. - @hollie_wakeham on Instagram

I always expected the gates of heaven and light to rain down on me after a sound bath at the Integratron. That does seem to happen DURING the experience, but there are no words that can translate what happens while the frequencies meander through the subconscious, shape shifting molecular structures and fine tuning cords that need a reboot. ⠀ ⠀ What I DID notice after my experiences were subtle intuitive messages and clarity. As long as I stayed open and curious about what was coming up and began to trust the path of least resistance is when the magic started to happen...⠀ ⠀ During these past 5 months or so I have found sound to be the best medicine for me, whether its listening to a sound journey, yoga nidra, or vocal toning. Sound is healing and sound creates space. ⠀ ⠀ I also have discovered that this is one of my favorite ways (so far) that I like to hold space for people and I want to thank EVERYONE that turned this dream into a reality and who expressed interest. Co-orchestrating a private sound journey at the Integratron with @brenthonnerlaw for 13 beautiful souls was such a surreal experience. No suelo comentar mis trabajos en redes pero creo que esta va a ser mi primera excepción. @cosmosdaughter y @sandrandroll me propusieron hacer el reportaje gráfico del Ancient Movements Retreat. Un fin de semana intensivo donde un grupo de mujeres se reunió para practicar Yoga, Tantra y Danza Tribal, en un entorno idílico a cargo de Anoushka y sus tres hijas en @mandorla.colonias. Sinceramente pensé que estaría fuera de lugar (¿qué pinta un hombre ahí?), además de que podría influir negativamente en algunas de estas actividades, especialmente las más íntimas. Lo hablé varias veces con las organizadoras, que mostraron continuamente su confianza, así que decidí apartar las dudas y dejarme llevar por el evento. Pues sencillamente me sentí completamente uno más del grupo. Silencié el obturador y traté todo el rato mantener un equilibrio entre aparecer y capturar momentos, y retirarme cuando consideré que tocaba hacerlo o me lo hacían saber. Vi la espiritualidad individual tratada en grupo. Sin nombres de dioses, profetas ni doctrinas. Atreverse a escucharse y a sentir. A soltar y crecer. Tratar de dominar únicamente a sí misma y respetar todo lo demás. Conceptos que se suelen compartir pero a la vez repudiar por desconocimiento, desinformación, confusión o especialmente por considerarlo amenazante, especialmente cuando son las chicas las que toman la iniciativa.
