I’ve never known a joy like this. What an interesting journey it has been to find and create my tribe. The depth of my joy now would not be anywhere what it is without all of the heartbreaks, trials, and tribulations along the way. I’ve been increasingly learning, especially over the last 20yrs, to work on self love/taking responsibility for my life goals, focus on the quality of my internal energy, and see any difficulty in my life as medicine and an opportunity for my growth and an expansion of my empathy, gratitude, strength, and wisdom. 14 years ago today, me and my friend @jamiemoore777 went to war in Salford for the British Super-Welterweight title. It was a highly anticipated fight at the time with both of us having aggressive, exciting, all-action styles. But I think it’s fair to say that it exceeded all expectations and has gone down as one of the best domestic clashes of all-time. New hair, who dis? Well guys, at the beginning of this year I started to show some signs that I had developed Alopecia. I spent a few months trying to hide it because I wasn’t ready to accept myself without hair. During quarantine I decided that now was the time to try to get used to the “new” me. So, I said fuck it and now I’m rocking this sweet buzz cut. It’s hard to get used to an image of yourself that you didn’t see coming but I’ve learned that staying positive and knowing that you’re still you, no matter what you look like, is key to getting by. But seriously, then ... ⠀ The 26th year of my life brought me to a new career, although all the previous 25 years I thought I was born for other things. So all I mean is we are more versatile than we think. ⠀ I dont have enough acting, and in particular the stage, but my current fashion profession is a link in the same creative chain. Sublimation is it’s name, the circulation of energy in the Nature. I started being shot as an actor much more when I started shooting others, and this is not a paradox, but a pattern. Creativity attracts creativity, and thats about everything. ⠀ The 26th year is about new paths that I took. I’m still a bit scary so far. It is about numerous of new acquaintances and friends, but even stronger love for the old ones. Parenting during a pandemic is… interesting. 1. Most of our family has only met Nia online. In fact, it wasn’t until she was four months old that my grandmother got to hold her. Every single one of my aunts, uncles, and cousins are still waiting to see her in-person. 2. Vaccinations have been hard to come by. Nia’s totally up to date (anti-vaxxers can see themselves out), but walk-in clinics haven’t been super accommodating. We’re still waiting to snag a paediatrician. 3. I’ll finish on a positive. I worked from home for nearly five months and got to spend SO MUCH TIME with my daughter. During my radio show, I was able to give my wife a break and even squeeze in bath time during commercials!
