Fathers are understandably protective of their partners and babies, but if this impulse means they want to ‘save’ their partner from the pain of labour it will undermine the support they give. The life of madness! The boss/big brother is happy out today as it’s a Tuesday... so he can chase the bin men and the bin truck around again with mammy and baby Siiista. I love Tuesdays, as he allow me to dress him without any tantrums... All because of the “bin men bribery”😂 Tantrums are constant these days... and he is super clingy as he is still trying to get used to having the new baby in The house! A week at home now, so he is coping better with us having to give love to her as well! Though he is so so good to her and loves playing with her and cuddling with her! 🥰😍 - Extra Tuesday bonus... I have realised that the little ms loves to lie inside my top, when her tummy hurts her... So I now stuff her down my top when I sit down, and I then have two arms free as she just hangs there😂😂😂 - Sure it only took me and her two weeks of life to discover this trick😂 Now I just need to get a tiny bit more functioning, so I can cut our grass and fix the garden again. I am in such disbelief today. One of the most amazing people I ever knew passed away last night. My Grandpa. Back in July, I chose to go home to Ohio for a week and saw much of my family, including my Grandpa. I had no idea that was the last time I would see him. You left too soon, Grandpa. You were a role model for me and so many others. And you always told me that in life “it’s not what you know, but who you know.” You were a social butterfly and I was always impressed by how easily you could strike up a conversation and make friends with anyone. I will always remember our trips to get ice cream, going to the zoo, the museum. You came to all my plays and film screenings. You were so supportive. And when we were little and misbehaved, you would joke and say you would “send us to the moon.” Your legacy and lessons will live on through your kids, your grandkids, and beyond. 14 years ago today, me and my friend @jamiemoore777 went to war in Salford for the British Super-Welterweight title. It was a highly anticipated fight at the time with both of us having aggressive, exciting, all-action styles. But I think it’s fair to say that it exceeded all expectations and has gone down as one of the best domestic clashes of all-time. I’ve never known a joy like this. What an interesting journey it has been to find and create my tribe. The depth of my joy now would not be anywhere what it is without all of the heartbreaks, trials, and tribulations along the way. Parenting during a pandemic is… interesting. 1. Most of our family has only met Nia online. In fact, it wasn’t until she was four months old that my grandmother got to hold her. Every single one of my aunts, uncles, and cousins are still waiting to see her in-person. 2. Vaccinations have been hard to come by. Nia’s totally up to date (anti-vaxxers can see themselves out), but walk-in clinics haven’t been super accommodating. We’re still waiting to snag a paediatrician. 3. I’ll finish on a positive. I worked from home for nearly five months and got to spend SO MUCH TIME with my daughter. During my radio show, I was able to give my wife a break and even squeeze in bath time during commercials!
