For those who want to escape from the city (and not travel by plane), I recommend you @visitlakepowell ! It is about an 8 hour drive from L.A. and sits on the border of Utah/AZ. This place feels like a little piece of paradise with it’s amazing views. I visited the lake for the first time over MDW and I’m including a few tips here: • We traveled by RV: Definitely recommend doing this when traveling in a group and for more of a GLAMping experience! RV rental from @elmonterv • Reserve a boat ahead of time through www.lakepowell.com (Prices start at $425 for a full day rental, totally worth it! This was the highlight of our trip) • Reserve a camping spot beforehand. They have options ranging from $30-$70 a day • If you have some time visit Antelope Canyon, Zion Park or Horseshoe bend nearby • Try to avoid the drive at night, it gets a bit windy. Optimal time to arrive is by 3pm, which also happens to be the check-in time • We felt completely safe! All employees wore masks and they had social distancing procedures in place. So today was an early start thanks @annalittle.fitness.sup 😳 It was worth it though🤙🌞 started at 7am we paddle into the calm morning mist of Ullswater and headed west. Amazing feeling to slice through the still water taking in the breathtaking mountain views as the morning mist lifted. Great company also with the lovely tandem SUPers Alison and Alistair setting the pace 💨💨💪💪. Halfway down we met another SUPer who has been feeding family of swans through out the summer. Lugar magico en Asturias, donde nos encontramos la Playa de la Huelga. Aparcamos en coche en un caserio llamado Hontoria, y pusimos rumbo por un camino hasta llegar a la playa, de ahi nos metimos en un pequeño camino con el que llegamos a este maravilloso lugar donde bajamos unas escaleras y tuvimos la suerte de verlo en marea baja.
