It is this transparency that helps potential clients make informed decisions before booking an appointment. Well us stylists need that SAME TRANSPARENCY! When we ask for pictures of your hair, we don’t mean headshots or selfies. We need THOROUGH photos of the condition of your natural hair so that we can assess, advise, and anticipate any precautions needed to be taken for your specific head of hair. Although appreciated, It does not help to send the most beautiful photo you have of yourself. What we need to see is length, hairline, nape, the scalp in the crown, texture, density, breaking/balding, etc. Be honest about any chemical processing you have. Be upfront about any delicate areas you have that need special attention. This allows us to plan out the proper amount of time we might need for any additional protective services we may need to add on. Some circumstances do require further consultation, for which a virtual or even in-person consultation is needed. But please try to send the most thorough photos you can. Ask someone to help you if you’re having trouble doing it yourself. Take a video if you’re comfortable! - I had obsession with curly hair and finally decide to do perm first time in my life, I am really satisfied with the result. I will start to follow routine now and hope it make this curly stay.
- Update! I posted last week about cutting off about 6. Today, I said fuck it, and chopped it all off. I feel naked without it, but I was able to donate it, and Im feeling good.
- What a difference two weeks can make! (May 1 - today of following CGM) or: Praise be to the curly gods and goddesses that inhabit this place!

- Top left is 12/17 before I cared about my hair. Top right is 4/18 a few months after I began caring about it. Bottom left is 9/18 a couple days after starting the CG. The bottom right is last week. Im so much more confident about my hair now because of everyone here so I wanted to say thank you!
