#KnowYourNavy Indian Naval Ship Kochi, an indigenously designed and built guided missile Destroyer, was commissioned into the #IndianNavy on 30 September 2015. The ship has a displacement of 7,500 tonnes, a length of 164 metres, beam of 17 metres and is capable of speed in excess of 30 knots. She is manned by a crew of 40 officers and 350 sailors. The predominantly indigenous weapon-sensor-machinery fit and stealth features symbolises the maturing of India’s indigenous shipbuilding capability and quest for self- reliance. She is equipped with surface to surface and surface to air missiles, medium and short range guns, torpedoes, anti-submarine rockets and advanced electronic warfare and communication suite. The ship is also capable of embarking all types of helicopters operated by Indian Navy. Kochi’ has been named after the famous city in the State of Kerala. The crest depicts a snake boat on the waves with the traditional sword and shield of ‘Kalaripayattu’ warriors in the upper section signifying the maritime and military past of the region. The motto in Sanskrit “Jahi Shatroh Mahabaho” means “O Lord Almighty! Let me Prevail over the Enemy”. At the end of August in any other year wed usually find ourselves gathering with many of you–friends, colleagues, and fresh faces–under our big red tent in Copenhagen, serving up knowledge and organizing for positive change. White Hall, originally called Rosenweg, was built by Joseph Leon Agostini, who was a cocoa planter. Agostinis family was from Corsica, and that influence is reflected in the houses Moorish Mediterranean inspired architecture. Construction began in 1904, by James Moore of Barbados, and it took three years to complete the project, except for the roof that was not completed until 1910. The 184 ft Classic expedition motor yacht Blue II’ was launched this week at Turquoise Yachts in Istanbul who built her. She is a unique new concept of a great timeless looking classically styled motor yacht that will surely turn heads. She is built to the highest quality standards and has many unique technical features such as diesel electric propulsion, side boarding platforms, underdecks storage of two large tenders and is built to Ice class. She is the first yacht at the yard built to the new emission standards from IMO and therefore has a Urea system that reduces the NOx exhaust levels. Hoek Design did the exterior styling, naval architecture and interior design and the John Vickers studio in London did the interior styling with soft furnishings by Dolls. Master Yachts of Mallorca acted as owners representatives. Так же в отличии от традиционного июля, в августе появились водоросли, которые переодически зацеплялись за нос и руль. Последние 1,5 км все было очень драматично для нас, так как мы стали набирать воду. У наших визави у большеохтинского моста сорвало руль. Двое одиночников из нашей команды в городской черте вывернулись вообще. Prosjektet skal tilby unge musikere i Sápmi og Island en lavterskelscene, og skape bånd mellom samiske og islandske musikere. Sammen skal de skape musikk som bygger på samiske og islandske referanser, og fremføre den både i Kautokeino og på Island. Lounge Sápmi arrangeres av og med musikere og musikkpedagoger, og de samarbeider tett med ulike kunst-, utdannings- og musikkaktører i Kautokeino og Sápmi. Prosjektet skaper kjennskap og forståelse for samisk musikk på Island, og gjør islandsk musikkliv kjent i det samiske miljøet. We were delighted to launch the newly extended 74.5m MY Lady E over the weekend following an extensive refit at our Falmouth facility. A major component has been the addition of a 6m stern extension, meaning future guests on board will now be able to enjoy a brand new 60sqm beach club on the lower deck and additional guest seating and sunbathing area’s on the main deck aft. The project also included a comprehensive programme of engineering and AVIT works, application of top coat, and the installation of a fully equipped health and wellbeing suite. Lady E has moved into our 7,564sqm wet basin, where she will undergo final commissioning work ahead of a series of sea trials over the coming weeks. La Corbeta se incorporará a la Institución Naval con el nombre de ARC “Almirante Tono”, héroe nacional de la República de Colombia, siendo este el segundo al mando de la escuadra que triunfó en la Batalla del Lago de Maracaibo a orden del Almirante José Prudencio Padilla López el 24 de Julio de 1823, victoria que fue crucial para la independencia de nuestro país.
