The last piece I worked on, displayed last Saturday at the Passing through time showcase in Berlin. The piece took about 3 weeks to achieve my way of working has totally changed after dropping any prefabricate work and allowing and trusting flow to take it where it needs too. For me this is a process which is the achievement within its self. To be able to drop in flow is our birth right, I believe it is in flow where true happiness lays. Final section detail by @_annamaria13 from #designstudio13 Situated in Hong Kong’s Central, the project co-opts economic opportunities established by the city’s standing as a global financial epicentre. The building – a fintech incubator - aims to inject a dose of levity and leisure into a working pattern that typically involves a tedium of long hours coupled with frantic and intense moments of snap decisions. In doing so it asks questions regarding the nature of work: what does work entail? Does work need to be boring? Can leisure constitute work? A series of urban devices, sampled and interpolated from the city fabric itself, is consolidated into a three-dimensional aggregate of space conducive to moments of social interaction, negotiation and exchanging information. In this space the layer of transparency within public and private domains is blurred. This construct diversifies the working environment, stimulating working routines and encouraging collaboration and competition between companies. The void around this construct unifies the effects it produces and transmits it both within the building as well as to the city beyond. The bridges linking the construct to the rest of the building become prominent affective moments suspended between busy environments and the city.
