Third Mainland Bridge as seen from above. The Third Mainland Bridge is the longest of three bridges connecting Lagos Island to the mainland, the other two being the Eko and Carter bridges. It was the longest bridge in Africa until 1996 when the 6th October Bridgelocated in Cairo was completed. The bridge starts from Oworonshoki which is linked to the Apapa-Oshodi express way and Lagos-Ibadanexpress way, and ends at the Adeniji Adele Interchange on Lagos Island. There is also a link midway through the bridge that leads to the Herbert Macaulay Way, Yaba. Друзі! Проїзд Борщагівським шляхопроводом повністю відкрили! Нам довелося фактично будувати новий міст. Конструкція старого була в такому стані, що у будь-який момент могла статися катастрофа. З моменту зведення шляхопроводу у 1967 році, він не бачив ремонту! Під час оновлення обєкту замінили 23 опори, встановили 76 нових балок. Капітально відремонтували проїжджу частину, колії швидкісного трамваю та облаштували нові тротуари і систему освітлення. Ремонт здійснили не тільки на шляхопроводі - оновили й під’їзди до нього. ⠀ І ще одна приємна новина. Відсьогодні відкрили прохід оновленим пішохідним мостом над проспектом Леся Курбаса поблизу кінотеатру «Лейпциг».
