The moment where the harsh reality of bodybuilding induces one of two feelings: . . 1️⃣ Humiliation/Relief: its the moment when you know that what you thought was ready is in fact not ready. Youre already defeated. Youve seen who youre up against and know you have no chance. You cling to the idea that at least i can relax on my diet now and I dont have to do cardio tomorrow because thats the only positive thought you can process. Youve already paid, tanned, announced that youre competing, etc so you say fuck it and go out to meet the demise of your big goal. This is a lonely, awful feeling. You should never forget that moment. Think about that feeling when youre making decisions on how youre going to train, what youre going to eat, whos coaching you, how much sleep will you get, etc. Remember it and avoid it. . . 2️⃣ Excitement/Anxiety: its the moment when you know you did everything you could. Youre confident and excited. You have seen who youre up against backstage and you either know youre going to win or at least have a battle with another worthy opponent. You arent thinking about the regrets you have from prep because you dont have any. You cant wait to showcase what youve been beating yourself into the ground for all year. You know you had the right guidance. You know your diet was on point. You know you trained your ass off every session and brought the best version of yourself. This is one of the most empowering feelings youll ever get. You should never forget this moment. Think about that feeling and continue chasing it.
