This is my first chess board . I must be 7 or 8 years old when I got it. Till then I had no idea about this game . To my surprise , my father knew how to play . I remember how I’d struggle for so long and could never beat him . I used to feel stupid . Well! Around two decades later , he finds it hard to beat me but I still feel stupid . Nothing has changed there ! Chess taught me to patiently strategize each move . It has also imparted fighting spirit in me to some extent . It surely teaches one the importance of sacrifice .
