I was 11 years old the first time I heard “one step closer”, it was 2000 and I was in grade 5. I was home from school sick with the flu, and back then I binged on much music all day, when they still played actual music videos, and the video for this song happened to play. I don’t know if it was my fever delirium, the songs heavy guitars, or the lyrics “shut up!!!” being screamed in my ears over and over, but I was hooked. I remember finding the CD in Walmart and begging my mom to buy it for me, I was lucky enough that she did given the parental advisory on it. I spent countless hours blaring songs in my room, yes through an actual stereo, I rocked out to paper cut, crawling, in the end, with you, a place for my head, by myself, over and over religiously memorizing the lyrics to every song cover to cover. I remember playing “cure for the itch” about 100 times on repeat on a single afternoon out with my parents, I was obsessed. I screamed at the top of my lungs with chester, albeit terribly in my preteen voice, but I growled, and jumped, and raged with that raw emotion, angst, and grit of the early 2000’s. I literally wore out both my hybrid theory and reanimation albums, they eventually because too scratched to play, but I couldn’t stop listening. After fights with my parents, break ups, times of depression, sadness, angst, confusion and frustration, linkin parks music was always there to make me feel like I wasn’t alone. Now I’m 31 one, and 20 years later nothing’s changed. I’m still bumping all their albums, back to the very first one, and the very first song “one step closer” that got me hooked. Talk about a dinger 🤘🏼, Yesterday while I was at my dentists appt, I was placed in the first exam room, which coincidentally has one of my better-halfs original paintings hanging on the wall. By happenstance I had brought some stickers with me for Dr.Ford. Mid appointment he points at the framed painting on the wall and says, can you make that into a sticker?. Me knowing that Im so stubborn Ill pretty much figure out a way to accomplish any task pipes up, sure can!, and snapped a photo on my way out the door. We spent the rest of the afternoon processing Sundays deer and I secretly hunkered down after dinner to crank this new design out. He was totally surprised once I showed him what I had finished working on. The Hollow Moon hypothesis, or Spaceship Moon hypothesis, proposes that Earths Moon is either wholly hollow or otherwise contains a substantial interior space. No scientific evidence exists to support the idea; seismic observations and other data collected since spacecraft began to orbit or land on the Moon indicate that it has a thin crust, extensive mantle and small, dense core, although overall it is much less dense than Earth. The first publication to mention a hollow Moon was in H. G. Wells 1901 novel The First Men in the Moon. 🌝 In 1970, Michael Vasin and Alexander Shcherbakov hypothesized that large lunar craters, generally assumed to be formed from meteor impact, are generally too shallow and have flat or even convex bottoms. They hypothesized that small meteors are making a cup-shaped depression in the rocky surface of the moon while the larger meteors are drilling through a rocky layer and hitting an armoured hull underneath. 🌝 Between 1972 and 1977, seismometers installed on the Moon by the Apollo missions recorded moonquakes. The Moon was described as ringing like a bell during some of those quakes, specifically the shallow ones. This phrase was brought to popular attention in March 1970, in an article in Popular Science. When Apollo 12 deliberately crashed the Ascent Stage of its Lunar Module onto the Moons surface, it was claimed that the Moon rang like a bell for an hour, leading to arguments that it must be hollow like a bell. Lunar seismology experiments since then have shown that the lunar body has shallow moonquakes that act differently from quakes on Earth, due to differences in texture, type and density of the planetary strata, but there is no evidence of any large empty space inside the body. 🌝 The fact that the Moon is less dense than the Earth is advanced as support for it to be hollow. The moons mean density is 3.3 g/cm3 whereas the Earths is 5.5 g/cm3. 🌝 An astronaut has been quoted saying, We were told not to return to the moon. Arthropleura armata I havent done a Palaeo-life study in a hot minute, so here we have a giant millipede from the Carboniferous period known as Arthropleura. Arthropleura, specifically A.armata, was a 2 to 2.5-meter long ancient member of the millipede family. They are herbivorous, possibly consumed the dense foliage of ferns and other ancient flora.
