AHSP Transfer of Pinaka Weapon System from DRDO to DGQA An important milestone was achieved today on 25 September 2020 when Authority Holding Sealed Particulars (AHSP) responsibility of Pinaka weapon system was handed over by DRDO to DGQA. AHSP transfer marks successful establishment of production of Pinaka rockets, Launchers, Battery Command Posts, Loader Cum Replenishment and Replenishment Vehicles as well as successful establishment of Quality Assurance processes. AHSP handing over took place at ARDE, Pune wherein the documentation required by various Production agencies, Quality Assurance agencies, Maintenance agencies and Users were formally handed over by ARDE, HEMRL and VRDE to CQA (A). Pinaka is a free flight artillery rocket system having a range of 37.5 km. Pinaka rockets are launched from a multi barrel rocket launcher which has capability to launch salvo of 12 rockets in 44 seconds. The weapon system is designed and developed by Pune based DRDO lab, Armament Research & Development Establishment (ARDE) in association with HEMRL, VRDE and CAIR. Pinaka rockets and its ground systems are currently under bulk production at Ordnance Factories, BEML, BEL, Tata Power and L&T Defence. Joining the event by video conferencing Dr G Satheesh Reddy, Secretary DD R&D and Chairman DRDO described the AHSP transfer as a landmark event in the development of Pinaka Rocket Systems and stated that the Pinaka Rocket Systems will go a long way in fulfilling the requirement of services. - @dpi.drdo on Instagram

Well shit...this is rough. After the books success, I was contacted and asked by the The Global War On Terrorism History Project to be forwarded a very special opportunity. They are dedicated to educating the public about the American Service Member’s experiences during The Global War On Terrorism. They accomplish this by setting up a traveling display which contains uniforms, helmets, and other items, all of which have the history of the service member it used to belong to. Its going to be hard giving these items up and never seeing or feeling them again. But, its for a good cause. Brent and his team will tell our stories and use these items to paint pictures for future generations. I am sending them my Patrol Cap, a piece of shrapnel pulled from my vest on my first deployment and the same top I wore during the Battle for Blessing my second deployment. As soon as I opened the box...the smell of the blood, sweat and dirt thats still on the jacket spilled out and onto my face. In many European countries, including Germany, throwing away garbage is a costly affair. Whether it’s based on weight, volume, or some other system, it’s a way to cut down on the physical amount that people throw away. And I have to wonder, should we implement something like that here in America? So how would it work? Weighing scales? Measuring sticks? Special bags or containers? Well, on the website Reddit, a user called Nachteule breaks down one such service that’s employed in Germany. It basically uses different colored trash barrels for different kinds of trash. Here’s how Nachteule describes it: The Braune Tonne/Biotonne (brown trash barrel) for compost The Blaue Tonne/Papiertonne (blue trash barrel) for paper and cardboard The Gelbe Tonne/Gelber Sack (yellow trash sack/barrel) for plastic packaging The Graue Tonne/Restmüll (grey trash barrel) for trash that cant be recycled (for example a broken small electrics like a watch or a toaster, cold ashes, broken ceramics...) There is also a public service that will get old clothes that are still wearable to support homeless persons and January there is also the Weihnachtbaumabholung — thats the day they will collect your old Christmas tree for free. Each trash barrel has a fee based on the size and color. For instance, the grey 16-gallon trash barrel, for unusable garbage, costs around $140/year. Our GPV Colonel sat squat, and well hidden under what used to be a freeway overpass that lay before us. It was a beast of a vehicle, 8 Wheels, sleek black. Though ours was not armed, it could be. All terrain, and amphibious with an NBC filtration system, this vehicle could get anybody anywhere. My men entered the APC before I did, while I kept watch on the surroundings. Once the last man was in, I hopped in the narrow triangular doorway, then shut it behind myself. It shut with a satisfying hiss. Bravo took over the operator seat, and fired the vehicle up. The Caterpillar engine fired up with a nice rumble. Everything began whirring to life within the vehicle. After a few seconds of hissing, an alarm buzzed, followed by a computerized female voice Air Quality Pure. I was relieved to take off my gas mask, and slip the NBC suit off down to my waist. Everybody else did the same. I stowed my weapons to the side, and kicked my legs out. This had only been our third trip to the surface, and it was pretty successful trip. We had never ventured out 70 klicks from Cheyenne Mountain before. We did good work today guys, even if we did not get the supplies. I declared. Delta nodded. Most definitely, any days a good day that were out of that concrete tomb. From the front passenger seat Echo began laughing Yeah, but that concrete tomb has showers! Looking back across at Delta, I chuckled Hes got you there. The vehicle began moving, and we were on our way. It was at least one hour back to the bunker, and we settled in for the journey...
