Today I woke up thinking about the days I first started racing and how much my parents encouraged me. And specifically I thought about all of the times my Dad set my compensator, even in my young adult years. I thought about all of the tires he’s changed and all of the times he drove me to my competitons and would be the loudest person cheering me on. I thought about the times I thought I performed poorly and could hear him saying as long as you’re having fun and did the best you could do, it’s all that matters. And then I thought about all of the times he drove me to my piano lessons, or over to Philly for my acting lessons or even for my performances. And this is random... but I thought about all of the times he would shake the car back and forth and sing at the top of his lungs (I used to be so embarrassed!) 😂 And then I think about how great of a Grandfather he is to my Diva! I’ve truly been blessed to have the best Dad in the whole world. And sometimes I find myself mirroring his actions, especially when it comes to saving wild animals... but that’s a whole other story. Yeah. I cut a custom ordered, $2900 #billet #intake manifold apart. Cause I learned the hard way. Just cause it’s billet, doesn’t mean it fits or it works. After literally breaking ends off injectors and having to make “extensions” to wire the original design up, I’d had enough. I have room to re design this thing to be more of a traditional design with Fuel Rails and these bad ass @atomizerracinginjectors. Waiting on raw materials for the top plate to and the -10 extrusion blanks so I can finish the machine work. Shockingly enough, all of this is only gonna add .25” to the engines overall height and eliminate about 12 FEET of plumbing. *unbezahlte Werbung wegen Markennennung* Nachdem das Fahrwerk nun fast komplettiert wurde, gehts an das einzige sichtbare: Felgen & Reifen. Ich habe mir günstig einen Satz gebrauchter Stahlfelgen in der Bucht ergaunert, wohlgemerkt die seltenen 4x4 Felgen mit ET54. Und da das Silber nicht ins zukünftige Farbschema von Yoyo passt, wurden sie eingefärbt. Dazu habe ich mal den Lack von Spray.Bike ausprobiert. Es ist eine Art Pulverbeschichtung aus der Dose. Sie wird wahrscheinlich nicht an eine herkömmliche Pulverbeschichtung rankommen, was die Widerstandsfähigkteit angeht, aber (hoffentlich) besser sein als irgendein herkömmliches schwarz matt ausm Baumarkt. Ich wollte es einfach mal ausprobieren und nen Langzeittest draus machen. Die Verarbeitung ist total easy, man muss sich nur was umgewöhnen, da die Distanz max 12cm betragen soll, aber es gab keinen einzigen Tropfen oder ne Nase (weil es eben nicht wirklich flüssig ist). Morgen gehen die Felgen zum Reifenhändler und ich denke spätestens Freitag sollte das Projekt Fahrwerk dann zu 99,9% abgeschlossen sein. - @yoyo_the_campervan on Instagram

Our guillotine cutter (purchased from Paul Aken at #platenpressmuseum) works great, but lives in a shared/flex studio, which has kid’s camps all summer. We have signed a lease and will be building out our brewery and taproom in North Suburban Round Lake Beach, IL!! We are excited to be in Round Lake Beach because of the awesome people there, our history in town and the current lack of a brewery! The space will have 1000 sf of taproom area that is exposed to the the brew space and an adjacent out door patio on the end of the building. It’s not huge, but it’s ours, and we are psyched up!!! We celebrated our dad as best as we could, getting in all the things he would’ve done on his perfect day; ✅ Worked in the workshop and built part of a deck ✅ Fished from the end of the dock ✅ Made a trip to Fleet Farm ✅ Made a trip to Menards for some tools ✅ Took a beautiful boat ride ✅ Went to his favorite restaurant on the bay ✅ Ordered and ate Walleye ✅ Drove by the Maritime Museum and the Tower he was helping to build ✅ Finished the day by stopping at our childhood ice cream stop that we all used to stop at It was a tough but great celebration of him. Looks like my brother, @rinickelectric738 isn’t the only one who can do heat/AC and ductwork! * A buddy’s cabin in the mountains, built in the 50’s, had an old wall heater that just wouldn’t do the job anymore. He decided it needed central heat. We suspended the unit from the rafters, and ran 80% of the ductwork, only because the remainder is on back order. 😝 * Not bad for a couple of old electricians. I did my best to keep it short: In 1999, as an aspiring rockstar at 12 years old, I sought out Donn Bennett Drum Studios to trade in my baseball glove for a pair of drumsticks. It was and still is the best thing that ever happened to me. From the teachers to all the friends, customers and wonderful relationships with our manufacturers and representitives built over the years have been nothing short of incredible. The shop inspired me to work up through the ranks of a student to a teacher to eventually managing and purchasing Donn Bennett Drum Studios in 2013. After 8 wonderful years, tons of changing construction and post-Covid restructuring, I have decided to change the name to Rudys Drum Shop and will be moving the shop 1 block away from the current location. I am still committed to being the largest and longest running drum shop in the NW for new, used and vintage gear.. This change was a bit unexpected but 110% positive.The location is getting its finishing touches and will be open Oct 2020. We will announce grand opening soon. It was unexpectedly moving in a slightly silly way this past week to make my first splice since March when I started working from home. Although I’ve worked fairly consistently with film since then, primarily projecting prints, this past week was the first time I was able to use my tape splicer from work, which I was only able to finally pick up very recently. Along with the splicer, I grabbed my favorite split reels, synchronizers, film cores, splicing tape, and assorted other tools so that my studio bench is basically just as outfitted now as my work bench! - @preservationinsanity on Instagram

Phase 2: mostly done. Quite a lot of parts to get into the belly of the film transport side. Almost lost two springs, one slipped out of my tweezers and went flying, luckily it landed on my arm and got stuck in my arm hair 😬. Other spring I wasn’t aware existed ‘til it took off like a shot in the dark, luckily it landed on my desk in front of me after bouncing off the wall. Hunting squeaks and creaks, doing a little bit of regreasing, but I never found the main squeak... I think it lives on the front standard, just behind the shutter. Got a bunch of these Nyx Bulbs from the awesome @asteraofficial on this shoot! It’s getting harder as a regular consumer (and film person) to find your OG incandescent light bulbs these days I find. The shelves are dominated by CFL’s or LED’s and not the film friendly ones. Which is great for your electrical bill but not so much for making movies, haha! Anyways.
