5 Oh-so-Parisian, yet not cliché locations for a dreamy photoshoot in Paris I am absolutely sure that even if you’ve never visited Paris, you can recognise this city on any picture even though there may be no Eiffel Tower or Louvre’s pyramid. That’s why I don’t usually shoot in the most popular (and thus touristy) places (except for those Parisian experiences that just can’t be replaced, like capturing you seeing the Eiffel Tower sparkle for the 1st time). So, I’ve put together my picks for 5 perfectly Parisian, yet not cliché locations for a beautiful photoshoot in the City of Light. They certainly are not tourist free, nor are they totally unknown, but I think they’re better alternatives to typical photoshoot places like Trocadero that you’ve seen on other photos. In the U.S., labor inductions are done frequently, and many times, for non-medical indications. Too often, women are pressured by their healthcare providers to have inductions, a fact corroborated by data from the latest Listening to Mothers III national survey, Why is this problematic? Unnecessary inductions can lead to a host of additional unnecessary interventions – including cesarean sections – that substantially increase health and safety risks for mom and baby. While sometimes induction is absolutely medically essential, it should always be based on a medical indication, and for optimum safety for the largest number of pregnant women the rate shouldn’t exceed about 10% of all births. Yet in the US the national average is at least 23% – double what it was 2 decades ago. The reality is that conventional medical practices are not always based on the best medical and scientific evidence, nor the best interests of the mother. They are heavily influenced by doctors’ fears of getting sued, outdated information, data skewed by the interests of professional societies, insurance companies, hospital risk assessment teams, and even compromised medical journal articles influenced by pharmaceutical companies. We have to take a stand for honoring the wisdom of nature rather than let ourselves be bullied.
