Today marks my 12th year in America. Normally i celebrate these with a show, but you know the drill (coming soon tho). This little thing youre looking at is the famed green card. It allows you to travel much more freely than a work visa, and makes your general life easier. I spent nearly 3k and over 2 years waiting to get this. Its kinda crazy what it does to a person. You live with anguish every day. When youre waiting for it, you cant travel anywhere. I felt like a lesser version of myself in a very strange way. Finally at the end of last year, it arrived. I was happy and relieved, but I was so busy with comedy and general life, i barely had time to celebrate it. Ironically, I havent had an opportunity to travel with it since. But Im glad i got it when i got it, because i can only imagine what its like for immigrants who have their green cards in limbo while the whole world is on pause.
