Due to the patient’s condition and steep terrain, @seblasd Air Rescue 5 was requested and utilized to pick off the hiker and airlift to a local trauma center. In 1989, @mazdausa introduced a little roadster that would go on to be the bestselling open-top sports car of all time. The Mazda MX-5 Miata was a winning formula: a lightweight, affordable, rear-wheel drive small car with a naturally aspirated, rev-happy motor & smooth 5-speed transmission. The stock 1.6-liter in-line 4-cylinder motor produced 116 horsepower. . This particular Miata is something else entirely. . This month @oloiinc & NewYorKars feature our first track-only car. This 1990 #mazda MX-5 Miata is not street legal. It was purchased solely to be rebuilt into a race car. . A turbo kit was installed along with a custom intercooler. You’ll also find new pistons, bearings, valves, and more. The racing brakes, clutch, & suspension are complemented by a Torsen limited-slip differential. . If that’s not enough, a modified 1.8-liter turbo motor is ready to be dropped in complete with a 6-speed manual. This could bump the hp up to 400, but it will likely be dialled back some. . We got a solid 4 shakedown days on the car over the last 8 days with about 170 on track miles without a hiccup from the motor. Under hood temps will be our biggest enemy but working on some things for that already! I know there is a ton left in the car just need more driver mod. First two days were with @peterchk at @njmotorsportspark then up to @nysafetytrack for our own TakeOver event with @azpinstalls where we got some redemption in the car since that is where we blew it up and finally yesterday back to NJMP with a great group @metrotrackaddicts. It was great to catch up with everyone. Thanks for the invite and looking forward to working together in the future. On Sunday, March 17th, a white Ford Explorer was involved in a crash involving a rock wall in front of 1690 South County Road in Osterville. The vehicle was believed to be going over the speed limit of 30 when it veered off the road, hitting a mailbox, then continuing into a rock wall that ripped the wheel hub out of the vehicle. There was no intrusion to the vehicle and all airbags deployed upon impact. The driver is believed to be in stable condition. No further information could be obtained on whether or not drugs or alcohol had a role in the crash. The homeowner of the house had stated that vehicles always speed down the road and they have made efforts to call the police about the situation, however nothing has been done. - @cape_news on Instagram

The Glendale Fire Department and the City of Glendale will be participating in the Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters. Every year, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) sponsors the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, the official national tribute to those firefighters who died in the line of duty during the previous year. Landmarks and Fire Departments across the United States will be lit in honor of our fallen firefighters, including the Capitol Records Building, the Willis Tower, The One World Trade Center, the New York Stock Exchange, and 4 Times Square. Big-Block Supermodifieds Return To Thompson For World Series NAPLES, ME (September 25) – Officials from the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) and American-Canadian Tour (ACT) announced today that the Big-Block Supermodifieds of ISMA will be returning to Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park for the 58th Annual World Series Of Speedway Racing. The ISMA Supermodifieds are one of 19 divisions that will be racing at Thompson as part of the World Series from Friday, October 9th through Sunday, October 11th. The breathtaking Big-Block Supermods will compete for 50 laps and will join the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season finale, along with the PASS Super Late Models on the final day of racing. “The ISMA Supermodifieds are one of the most exciting divisions in pavement racing and we are happy to bring them back for their traditional visit to Thompson as part of the World Series, said PASS President Tom Mayberry. The World Series is one of the biggest weekends of racing in New England and we are really happy to provide such a great card of short track racing to our fans. The first ISMA Supermodified race to be held at Thompson as part of the World Series was in 1975 and was won by 9-time NASCAR Modified Champion, Richie Evans. The most fun I’ve had drifting in a long time @klutchkickers funday. Sooooo much seat time. Probably did over 100-150 laps this weekend. We also did a private day the next day and ran the track in reverse which was super cool. Had rainy sessions (hence the mud) where me and @bhooligan33 literally didn’t come off track for the whole session. Tires lasted forever. Some of the best tandems I’ve ever had. Man I love drifting. Yesterday evening was extremely busy for our crews as storms came through. We were dispatched to several calls related to the storms as well as three structure fires with one being a working fire. Crews from Wake Forest, Rolesville, and Youngsville responded to this home off Miracle Drive. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control that was in the attic. There were no injuries and the cause is being investigated. - @wakeforestfire on Instagram

This past sunday S2K challenge drivers finally were welcomed back after the long quarantined hiatus to a buttonwillow config none had ever seen before: 26CCW. Running counter-clockwise combined with adding the star mazda corner and eliminating phil-hill resulted in blistering 5th gear entry speeds to riverside and lots of drivers testing their cars and courage on this virtually unknown configuration.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Street class showed NorCal flexing their muscle with Gabriel Rothman making the long drive down and setting a blistering 2:09.863 wingless on this power config, with Levi Wenzel coming in right behind with a 2:11.768⠀ ⠀ Mod class was where most of the action landed with top honors being cinched by Ryan Delgrosso with a 2:04.143 in Red 3 after battling with early day fuel starvation. Hot on his heels was Jacob Mitchell with a 2:04.610 set in Green3 again after a morning of transponder and clutch troubles. Bronze was picked up by NorCal driver and series veteran Sohan Kota with a 2:05.562⠀ ⠀ Super-Modified showed a wild cast of builds and characters, being led by Dustin Dessero with a 1:58.125 flexing his boosted muscle, with Martin Riente picking up second in a naturally aspirated car on race tires with a 2:00.650. Greg is an inspiration to all and reminder to never stop working even after retirement…. Here are some interesting facts about Greg and his journey. 2 years ago, Greg rode his bicycle from Phoenix, AZ to a suburb of Detroit, Michigan, that’s 2,148 miles through rain, wind, cold and hot weather one way. Greg also rode his motorcycle in 2020 to Ohio and back, that’s over 4,000 miles. Greg is a retired Phoenix Firefighter serving 25 years as an engineer in the Phoenix community. Greg served in the U.S Navy during the Vietnam war as a Communications Technician. Greg came to Optimyze to utilize our therapies, preventing a shoulder surgery and used in combination with physical therapy. Greg has recovered, surgery free and almost back to 100%. Greg got introduced to the cold by attending the Wim Hof Method Fundamentals course earlier this year with his grandson and daughter learning about the benefits of the Three Pillars, Breathing exercises, Commitment and Cold Therapy So, next time you see Greg, make sure to give him a warm welcome! With so much happiness everywhere it’s easy to forget why these kids are here at this event, they’re here because they’ve had a rough time in life. It can be anything from sickness/health issues, to rough family situations. But these kids are just the strongest I’ve ever met. Just look at the smile on this little dude. He could not be happier at this moment and I am so proud to be part of something that gives them something to look forward to, a reason to laugh, and like this guy a reason to scream of joy at 8000rpm 😂🤩 It also helps us adults put some perspective on life. Are you healthy? Do you have a roof over your head? A job? Food in the table? The freedom to walk and run as you please? Yeah, life might not be that bad! Finished up this sweet Honda Civic roll-cage last week for @c.vera_p1 @project_one_motorsport to compete in @hondachallenge and @globaltimeattack I had a ton of fun with this one because i’ve never built a cage for a serious Civic before! It has fully wrapped strut towers, x-tubes for the door, a diagonal rear down tube, dash tube to fit the OEM column and anti-intrusion tubes. All tubes land together at their intersections. It is made from 1.50” DOM with Tig welded tube landings for the floor. This thing fits super tight and is gives plenty of space for the driver. In Heidelberg und dem Rhein-Neckar-Kreis führt die Nummer zur Integrierten Leitstelle, oder kurz ILS. Im letzten halben Jahr wurde die ILS Rhein-Neckar mit der Feuerwehrleitstelle Heidelberg fusioniert: Heute, zum 1. Oktober, nimmt die neu gegründete gemeinsame Leitstelle offiziell ihren Betrieb auf. An zwei Standorten in Ladenburg und Heidelberg werden Notrufe entgegengenommen, Rettungskräfte alarmiert und Einsätze aufeinander abgestimmt.
