After a quick rundown on the benefits of laser technology and potential hazards at risk it was time for the hands on demo , everyone had an opportunity to test their skills and precision at laser cleaning different corroded samples. What was found to be the most impressive aspect of the laser was the level of precision and fine tuning that is available through adjusting the varying parameters. The research project has been running for the past 2 years, measuring surface corrosion on stainless steel for the oil and gas industry.
