When you thought it couldn’t get any more backwards, society simultaneously evolves and devolves. I’m not only scratching my head in confusion, I’m also pulling my hair out at the absurdity of Alabama’s new abortion laws. I have seen countless powerful posts from amazing women in my life on this issue and almost none from any of the men. This is not only a women’s rights issue, it’s a societal issue. It’s a precedent, and the wrong kind. I’ll proudly put my hand up in disgust and say to all women on behalf of all men who love you, we are sorry. In the shop again... I’ve come to realize mechanical work is very much a part of #overlanding. IONA is home! ❤️ Iona was one of the 7 cats we took in last year from a hoarding situation, where 10 cats & 22 dogs were living in a garage. Two of these cats weighed only 4 lbs, and all of them were debilitated, physically & emotionally. We are happy to share that Iona is the last of those 7 kitties to be adopted. . Our volunteer Kitty Cuddlers spent many hours helping transform Iona from a bitey, swipey, defensive, nervous gal into a kitty who could relax a bit & consider trusting humans again. En un lugar llamado broome se puede hacer un tour en la playa en ellos, me parecieron bien domesticados y súper tranquilo. Otra cosa que me pareció curiosa fué que llevaban una especie de tela alrededor de la nalguita y allí hacían 💩💩 así no ensucian la playa 👌🏽 me encantó 👌🏽😂 #broome Im not in the Sahara desert 😯 Its Australia 😯 Oh yes!😀 Did you know that Australia has around 1 million wild camels? And that it is one of the largest national herds of dromedaries in the world ... I did not imagine that before I got here as well Camels were first imported to Australia in the 1840s to help transport goods for European explorers venturing into the central desert. This little island is surrounded by serene beaches and covered in old-growth forests that you could wander through for weeks. With increasing frequency and severity of extreme events, such as the recent fires tearing through the state and the predicted floods coming, the fight to protect these forests are more important than ever. It’s easy to get disheartened by all the chaos and climate predictions, but last night I got a chance to shoot the opening of #2040film for the @humanrightsfest which highlights the solutions communities are working towards against climate change. Meu nome é Ane e vou contar um pouco sobre minha mudança para Jeri. Em 2015 estava trabalhando em uma multinacional. Próximo das minhas férias recebi um e-mail por engano de uma agência de turismo falando de Jericoacoara. Na hora que abri e vi as fotos, já decidi que o meu destino das férias estava escolhido. Jeri, como costumamos chamar por aqui, foi amor à primeira vista. Cheguei e fiquei hipnotizada com as ruas de areia, a mistura de culturas, o pôr do sol surreal, o charme dos becos, a alegria das pessoas... Fiquei tão apaixonada que no primeiro dia já tinha certeza que moraria em Jeri. As férias acabaram, voltei à rotina e Jeri não saia do pensamento. Em 1 ano vim para Jeri inúmeras vezes, a cada despedida um pedaço do meu coração ficava e dizia que aqui era meu lugar. Amava meu emprego, minha vida urbana, minha rotina... E largar tudo quando a vida está bem, torna a decisão ainda mais difícil. Só que apesar de amar, não estava mais feliz e felicidade tem que ser prioridade, né? Pedi demissão da empresa que trabalhava há anos e decidi mudar para Jeri. Ninguém apoiou, todo mundo achou loucura. Mas eu sentia tanto no meu coração que minha felicidade estava aqui... É muito louco quando o lugar te escolhe! Mudei para Jeri em 2016 e uma nova Ane nasceu. Troquei o salto alto por havaianas, o carro na garagem por um pau de arara, as roupas sociais por biquíni... Acordar cedo com o canto dos pássaros é o que me faz feliz e ter o mar no quintal é meu maior luxo. Se fosse para voltar no tempo, faria tudo igual outra vez. I was extremely fortunate to draw a muskox permit in Alaska years ago. This would be my first experience in extreme cold.. The funny thing is the coldest part of our trip was the day we flew in.. We weren’t prepared before hand from the guide about the “airport” which was just a strip surrounded by snow machines in the middle of nowhere... 😂. Getting off the plane the cold slapped us In the face & gripped my hands immediately.. we hustled to prepare our gear for a snow machine ride to the village which was roughly 4 miles away. The wind was ripping & was told it was -45 with windchill much higher. I lost feeling in my hands & face getting my gear on & finding gloves for the ride to town from the airstrip. We had a great hunt taking my bull on the second day of the hunt. The meat was absolutely amazing, I wish I could harvest one every year if possible! All the other hunters & guides had extremely bulky Northern gear on & I had to tell one of the other bow hunters to let down & take off his parka because it was way too bulky & the string would hit the sleeve almost Immediately if he would’ve shot. I was wearing the first generation Sitka Gear Incinerator system. The guides all said I need more layers on.. In reality I had to take other layers off I had underneath while I was working the snow machine.. Regardless it worked flawlessly & it has only improved in the modern Sitka cold weather Blizzard system. - @cole_ak_kramer on Instagram

Also known as RATO (Rocket Assisted Takeoff) used smalls rockets to provide additional thrust during takeoff or landing. Mexicana flew 12 Boeing 727-200s with JATO and was the only airline to order the option. Mexicana served several high altitude airports where the normal 727-200 would not be able to takeoff due to the payload restriction accounting for the possibility of losing one of the three engines. JATO was intended for emergency use when flying out of hot, high airports at maximum gross weight.
