If you’re stuck “in” the business, then you catch more glass ceilings. 2. Mundane work also equals “details”. The details matter. You have to learn as much as possible and then you have to expand your approach into leveraging technology and systems to scale your efforts. 3. Too many people want to hire and source others right out at the gate. I believe you have to know what you’re hiring and sourcing for based on what you’ve already understood. People can’t take as much advantage of you when you know what you want, how you want it and what to look for. 4. I believe your art and passions are how you express your soul to the world, but you must also be willing to manage it financially and professionally so it can a.) become its greatest self, and b.) so it’s not taken away by someone else. 5. Vertically integrate. Owning different parts of the “supply”, “production” or “marketing” chain not only allows you to handle more of your tasks internally, and at better cost, but they can be licensed and leveraged externally to others. More on this later. 6. Be the person you’d want to learn from so you can help others grow just the same. I treat my people with honesty, integrity, transparency, directness, love and kindness. I want to help them drive their lane 150mph. 7. Skills may get you in the game, but having a high level of emotional intelligence and self awareness will help you navigate people, uncertainty, risk and reward much more efficiently and for the long game. I am going to post this and not read the comments or personal messages I receive because of it. I regretfully took it down, and I am here putting it back up thanks to @keeepelevating People pick the words this woman wrote apart all you want. I for one feel the medical system is completely flawed and ass backwards, a place where big pharma makes a buck off your dis-ease when I know damn well from personal experience that all dis-eases can be cured with raw foods, hydration, movement and breath, but I let needing to express that in that moment go because her message speaks volumes of truth when it comes to police brutality. Yes. Some nurses are shit and drug people as restraint. I would like to hope thats not what she does. If his windpipe was infact not crushed and you want to argue that and deter from the message this woman was doing her best from her heart to show solidarity then go ahead, I dont have the time for petty arguments. Bottom line is, death doesnt need to be a result. We literally all watched him die and we all know it didnt have to go down that way. Period. This brings me to breath. I have been contemplating for days on how to address this. I have let so many hateful personal messages from family, friends, aquaintences and strangers really get under my skin the past few days and thats my bad. But I saw a post from @audrabear sharing what I have been so fearful of sharing because of the backlash I have recieved. But here it is. Be so mindful of the mantras we are creating surrounding our breath. Do not give away your power. Celebrate that we all have breath and are working in unison to create change that is long overdue.
