Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘Mona Lisa’ continues to fascinate art observers with its compositional secrets. Recently, a scientist by the name of Pascal Cotte discovered a never-before-seen sketch beneath the masterpiece. Cotte’s study of the portrait marks the first time a spolvero has been detected in the legendary work which is evidence that da Vinci created an initial sketch of the famous portrait before painting it. [Nouvelle Story à la Une] Et voilà, cest le retour de La Minute Culture en bonne et due forme ! Après un crochet par la mythologie grecque cet été, il fallait un artiste pour revenir en grandes pompes. Bouguereau fait partie des demandes qui revenaient souvent en message privé, il était temps de le mettre en avant. . La peinture du post représente Dante et Virgile, cest mon œuvre préférée de Bouguereau même si elle est très singulière dans sa carrière. Chaque fois que je vais au @museeorsay, je passe la voir comme on passe voir une vieille copine (quand elle y est, ce qui nest malheureusement pas le cas en ce moment). Jaime cette image terrible, son mouvement, son dynamisme, sa tension et cette violence qui ma laissée bouche bée la première fois ! Peut-être que je lai prise aussi parce quen cette rentrée, les violences sont partout dans les images, les mots, les faits... La Minute Culture reste toujours un chouette refuge faits de jolis commentaires et de retours bienveillants. Et pour ça vous avez toute ma gratitude. We’re taking a break from looking back on our new writing productions, today we’re heading back to our 2015 production of Henry V (it would also have been Henry’s birthday today too) This production of Henry V opened at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in September 2015 before transferring to @barbicancentre in London as part of ‘King and Country: Shakespeares Great Cycle of Kings’, to mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeares death in 2016. The production was broadcast live into cinemas worldwide and streamed into schools as well being made available on DVD. In early 2016, the show toured to China and the USA.
