father of the study of anatomy in Iran دکتر جمال الدین مستقیمی پدر علم آناتومی ایران بود که هشت پژوهش علمی را در زمینه آناتومی در مجامع جهانی به نام کشورمان ثبت کرد که از جمله آنها اثبات عدم ارتباط بین دو پیاز شامه در مغز میباشد که در سال ۱۹۶۵ و در هشتمین کنگره بینالمللی آناتومی و تشریح در آلمان مورد تصویب و ثبت جهانی قرار گرفت. از دیگر کشفیات ایشان می توان به پیدا کردن دو رشته عصبی در مغز که یکی از آنها به قطعه پیشانی و دیگری به کپسول خارجی میرود اشاره کرد. پیدا کردن طبقه عمقی رباط دلتویید (که در ارتوپدی نقش بسیار مهمی دارد) و ثبت آن در مجامع جهانی از دیگر پژوهش های این مرد علم است. همچنین تهیه مدلهای بیوپلاستیک در سال ۱۹۶۰ درکشور آلمان برای اولین بار از دیگر کارهای دکتر مستقیمی در دنیا بود. دکتر مستقیمی پس از آن که در سن ۱۸ سالگی مدرسه طب در تهران را به پایان میرساند، همراه با یک پزشک آمریکایی و یک پزشک ایرانی از طرف دربار مامور میشوند تا تالار تشریح جسد دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران را حتی قبل از ساخت دانشکده بسازند .ماموریت ساخت تالار تشریح در مشهد در سن ۲۵ سالگی به وی واگذار میگردد. سپس بنیان گذاری سالن های تشریح دانشکدههای علوم پزشکی اهواز، علوم پزشکی ایران، بخش سالن تشریح دانشکده علوم پزشکی ارومیه، مرکز پزشکی شفا یحیاییان تهران، بخش سالن تشریح دانشکده پزشکی بابل را انجام داد. نتیجه این همه تلاش تشریح بیش از ۸۰۰ جسد انسانی به علاوه اجساد حیوانات بیشمار است. نتیجه این همه تلاش تشریح بیش از ۸۰۰ جسد انسانی به علاوه اجساد حیوانات بیشمار است. دکترجمالالدین مستقیمی تالیفات متعددی در زمینه علوم پایه دارد که مشهورترین کتاب ایشان کالبد شکافی است که به دلیل تسلط کامل وی به سه زبان آلمانی، انگلیسی و فرانسه تصحیح کتابهای معتبرآناتومی جهان از جمله SO BOTTA و GRAYS ANATOMY را برعهده گرفته که این امر اسباب افتخار جامعه پزشکی ایران میباشد. تندیس وی به عنوان پدر آناتومی ایران درجزیره کیش در سال ۱۳۷۶ نصب و مورد پرده برداری قرار گرفته است. ایشان در تاریخ یکشنبه ۶ آذرماه ۱۳۸۴ در مشهد درگذشت و در این شهر مقدس به خاک سپرده شد. #پدر_علم_آناتومی#جمال_الدین_مستقیمی #آناتومی#آناتومیست#anatomy#anatomist - @anatomy_and_surgery on Instagram

84 years ago, a legend was born. I can not thank him enough for giving me so much happiness and hope thru listening to his music. I think that even though he liked celebrating his birthday with all his friends and family, it also always was a day of grief for him. He probably remembered his twin brother and wondered what his life would be like if Jesse was still by his side. My wishes to Elvis are that hes able to reflect on his career and life in a positive way (Dont worry, I know hes dead) and to be thankful for all his nowadays fans (us). I recently wondered about why Elvis music appears so differently to me than others artists music... I think it is because of the extreme emotions in his voice. Fueron muchas las localidades exploradas por este naturalista alemán a lo largo y ancho de la isla de Cuba. A partir de sus observaciones y estudios una buena parte de la fauna cubana quedó referida en diferentes monografías que abarcan casi todos los órdenes zoológicos. En ellas puede encontrarse, desde las características propias de cada especie #animal, con sus descripciones, sinonimia y costumbres, hasta notas que llaman la atención sobre la extinción de algunas y el modo de evitarlo. La #flora, aunque no fue objeto de sus investigaciones, quedó también incluida en su obra en anotaciones de carácter #ecológico. Happy birthday to a futurist that has inspired me for as long as I can remember, Nikola Tesla! Although he had some quirky aspects and beliefs that were sometimes questionable, Tesla dedicated most of his life to making the world a better place (take a look at his hefty patent list) and made some interesting friends along the way. {SEPTEMBER 13th, 1925 -- PHILANTHROPIST ALEXANDER SANGER DIES} On this day in 1925, Alexander Sanger, merchant, civic leader, and philanthropist, died in Dallas. The German native had followed his brothers to the United States in 1865. He arrived in Texas in 1872 and took over a branch of the family firm, Sanger Brothers, in Dallas. A pioneer of dry-goods wholesaling and retailing in Texas, Sanger Brothers was at one time the largest wholesale house in its line in the Southwest. For many years it was the premier department store of North Texas. In 1872 he helped to organize the first synagogue in Dallas, he served as a city alderman in 1873-74. His Hebrew Benevolent Association grew to become Temple Emanu-El. He encouraged the development of railroads in Dallas and helped organize the State Fair of Texas, serving as a director from its inception in 1886 until his death in 1925; he was president of the organization in 1894. He was instrumental in organizing the Dallas Volunteer Fire Department in 1873 and in obtaining for Dallas the services of city planner George E. Kessler. He was an active supporter of Southern Methodist University and also served as a regent for the University of Texas from 1911 to 1917. During World War I Sanger was active in the sales drives for Liberty Bonds and War Savings Stamps; he also served as chairman of the Dallas Food Conservation Board and as state merchant representative for the United States Food Administration. Sanger married Fannie Fechenbach on May 11, 1879; they had one son, Elihu, who later became a vice president of the company. Sangers granddaughter, Frances Sanger Mossiker, became an award-winning historical novelist. Alexander Sanger died in Dallas on September 13, 1925. Tormented dreams telling myself I should have did more. -- I should have tried harder. I should have been better. I should have fought harder. I should have but I didnt. -- Inside my heart is breaking. Crying under the stars. Trapped under a blue sky That lies over and over. -- For the first time in years I looked In the mirror, and saw beautiful blue eyes look back at me. There was still life left in them. -- Sometimes I just want to stop but The angel on my shoulder, Says like hell are you giving up Pick up that pen and write. -- I dont know where these words are coming from.
