Less than a month to go and this little lady will be a whole year old. She is a ray of sunshine. A slice of magic. Her giggles light up my world. She has started snuggling more and more and every time she nestles her head in my shoulder my heart explodes a little bit. It’s the sweetest feeling and I’d hold her like that forever. Planning her birthday is so weird and something I hate to admit I’ve been avoiding. Her grandparents won’t be able to be here. Our friends won’t be able to be here. Maybe we’ll have four people over to socially distance hang out? It just seems so sad. Not that she’d remember anyway, but that’s not the point, is it? It’s for the us, it’s always for the parents. The huge milestone. The celebration of love for our baby who is outgrowing being a baby. *le sigh* In any case, June’s 11 months old. She points, claps, waves, signs a few things, is a silly little duck that loves to make us laugh. She responds appropriately to commands and questions in both French and English which is fun and exciting. My mom has been staying with us for a little bit (bless her heart) and June’s absolutely tickled to have a new audience member to entertain haha 🤣 it’s such a joy to see them together, especially during Covid. It is probably appropriate that my c-section scar started twinging this morning. On Mother’s Day. It doesn’t do that very often. I’m sitting in bed with my almost four-month old baby sitting on my knees looking at me. He’s touching his own knees trying to realize what they are while I spin a little ball that makes noise above his face. He’s grabbing my fingers trying to put them in his mouth while also using his monkey feet to kick my hands out of the way. This tiny monster has rebuilt my life for me. What used to be time for reading and writing and selfies and editing is now time for playing and feeding and sleeping and nuzzling. It’s true what they say: that nothing can prepare you for this. There is a magic in motherhood that just evolves on its own inside of you without you really noticing until you look back and see all the ancient instincts at play. I didn’t know what to do when (fill in the kid blank), but yet somehow, I just did it. And while it’s not difficult, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Being a mom is something I’ve dreamt about my entire life, and I’m so grateful to Orion for making me one. He beat out all the other little spermies and while I’m sure they woulda been just as cute and all, I’m pretty attached to this tiny man. Motherhood has been a test of my energy, patience, and wisdom already, and I’m only a few months in. Thank you Jesus for leading me through this, and thank you Forest for being my irreplaceable counterpart and making our life both fun and clean. Thank you to all my amazing ladies for checking in on me and wishing me a happy first Mother’s Day, and thank you to all of the amazing mothers out there who rock it every single day. I’m grateful for the little twinges in my scar. I like the reminder to look back on Orion’s birthday and remember how badly I wanted him and how incredibly happy I am now. 9 months out Vs in +some. . Pics slightly late & post even later (almost a month). . I’d been so looking forward to taking these pics & this milestone. It was one of those moments I’d thought about a million times over from early into the pregnancy but the moment came & went. I had little to no motivation to take them at all if I’m completely honest. . I’ve found it to be quite a difficult thing juggling complete gratitude for the baby we waited years for vs sadness that we waited so long for him & majority of our family & friends will have missed his entire first year of life. Oct/Nov was mostly spent at home until his 6 week needles were done. Late Dec/Jan/Feb the country was on fire & travelling to see Keiras family & many of our friends cancelled multiple times because of this. Mar to current covid & like everyone else in the world we have no idea how this will play out & when we can travel again or even when normality will return. . So we have him, he has us but we are very aware of & saddened by the adventures he’s missing out on with family in NSW & ACT. Also, no swimming or music lessons, no jelly bean gym & no play dates with his little baby friends. His first birthday has been cancelled, then venue closed. Will we even see everyone for Christmas, I don’t know? . It’s been an interesting 9 months having a baby born into a world that’s quite broken. Worrying about my return to work plagues my mind, will I make him sick? I thought that worry was mostly over after he was born, I’d survived patients with shingles, flu patients, superbugs, sleep deprivation, late disclosure chemotherapy & everything in between but here we are back to heightened concern. . At the end of the day, all the garbage of this world aside we are blessed with health, family (even if many are out of reach), a roof over our heads & a pantry bulging... So happy belated nine months (even though you’re nearly 10 months) Elijah, you are certainly our sunshine on these cloudy days. - @two_girls_and_a_faulty_stork on Instagram

Ребенок как актёр играет роль, вживаясь в образа или просто является самим собою.Я ловлю его лучшие моменты❤️ Когда идёте ко мне вы изначально знаете, что будет свобода выражения. Я рекомендую смотреть фотографии европейских брендов, в особенности испанских. В России небольшими шажками меняется тенденция.Из детей не делают кукол, не шлифуют как будто у них было лицо всё в морщинах и прыщах. Пока это единицы, но я уверена что будет существовать два вида фотографии «живая» с минимум обработки или совсем без нее, и будет «журнальная , бьюти» когда из-за задумки изменяется лицо, глаза, кожа и т.д Но вы должны знать одно, такие снимки не для работы. Представьте, вашего ребёнка выбрали по фото на очень крутой проект, с огромным бюджетом, вы приезжаете на локацию, а вам говорят « на фото другой ребёнок» и в лучшем случае вас всё равно снимают, в худшем отправляют домой ни с чем. I can’t believe my guy, Kai, turned 2.5 yesterday😨😅 Where has time gone?! . I know it’s only his 1/2 bday, but I thought we’d have some fun and do a mini celebration with him. I warmed up one of those little premade chocolate lava cakes from Costco (if you haven’t tried them yet, put them to your list!), and added a candle for him to blow out. (See the moment in my stories) It made our 100th something meal together in quarantine more entertaining and for all of us.🤷🏻♀️🥳 . I love this silly monkey so much. At 2.5, he talks non-stop, loves all things Disney, will do anything for chocolate, enjoys riding his balance bike and scooter, and has some serious dance moves. He knows all of his colors, can count to five with his fingers, and thinks he is hilarious when he toots on command😳...not sure if I should be worried about that “skill”?😆 .
