The Cosmic Roamer - Neowise has become a real popstar in our nightsky recently. However it must be a lonesome journey through space. When passing the sun this ball made from ice, dust and rock was under a heavy bombardment by the suns particles which caused the beautiful tail of the comet. Now Neowise will slowly start to disappear and travel deeper into our solar system. Unfortunately we (as we are on earth right now) will never see Neowise again, unless you are not planning to live for additional 6700 years. In former times comets were a dark omen and people believed that they would bring diseases, war and other catastrophes. In fact some things in my personal life are a little bit out of tune right now. Someone crashed into our car, I maybe lost most of my images that I took so far and we just had to cancel our vacation due to health problems. However I am not a superstitious person and dont believe in such things. Are you?! Comparto con vosotros probablemente la imagen más especial que he capturado nunca de los objetos de nuestro sistema solar. Y es que esta mañana he tenido la ocasión de presenciar uno de los eventos astronómicos que más me han impactado desde que practico astronomía: la ocultación de un planeta por nuestro satélite. Esta madrugada el planeta Marte se ha escondido detrás de nuestro satélite para salir de nuevo minutos después por el otro lado. Las ocultaciones de planetas son fenómenos efímeros, muy raros y solo visibles en una delgada franja de nuestro planeta y solo durante unos minutos, por lo que si somos afortunados de vivir en esa delgada franja merece la pena el esfuerzo de madrugar y contemplarlo. Desde España nos hemos tenido que conformar con disfrutarlo ya amanecido y a plena luz del día. En muchos países de Latinoamérica, si el tiempo lo ha permitido, han tenido ocasión de disfrutarlo en plena noche. Yo he aprovechado la ocasión no solo para disfrutarlo en 1a persona, sino también para grabar todo el fenómeno y compartirlo con vosotros por YouTube, aunque tendréis que esperar al próximo domingo. De momento vamos abriendo boca con esta combinación RGB que he tenido ocasión de grabar segundos antes de que Marte rozase la luna y se escondiese detrás de ella. Mars - The Red Planet 👽 09/09/20. The surface of another world. So much I want to say about this image, but I just don’t know where to begin. I can’t stop looking at it!!! The white area towards the bottom right is the Southern Polar Region. I could even see it through an eyepiece the other night - the freakin ice cap of another planet 🤯 The darker area is the planet’s rocky landscape, while the red part is dust reflecting sunlight towards us. I did not expect to capture this kind of detail... planetary imaging is really not my area of expertise. I say this a lot, but this really is the image I’m most proud of to date. Yes there is progress to be made, there always is - but I actually saw the South Pole of Mars from my back garden the other night. This hobby is ludicrous. - 🔥 Percied Meteor shower. It peaked at AU 11 and 12 with an average of 75 meteors/shooting stars per hour. If you look outside at night in the next few days, (i posted this in AU 14) you will still be able to see shooting stars (AU 13, 14, 15, and probably 16th)

BG 👇 Look at this morning light! I remember having my coffee with this view and it was so inspiring. Remembering all those smells and light rays hitting my senses. For now, I am back in Plovdiv trying to figure out how to control my life and urges better. Last night’s waxing gibbous moon rising over the Sangre de Cristo mountains that surround Taos. 🌔 On October 1st, the moon, known as The Harvest Moon, will be totally illuminated. It will be full again on October 31st, meaning we will have two full moons in one month. I rarely post a Milky Way photo with out some type of stacking, usually in deep sky stacker with a ton of photos and usually with dark, flat and bias frames. I was out the other night and shot some single exposures with the zeiss batis 25mm f2. Was extremely happy with these, being a 10 second exposure, iso 3200 at f2 I was surprised with how much light this lens lets in over such a short single exposure. I actually now prefer this lens over the Sony 24mm gm 1.4. Shot on monday at Mount Laguna. Shot on Sony a7rii - zeiss batis 25mm at f2, iso 3200, 10” seconds - no extra processing in photoshop, just a simple split tone in Lightroom mobile. - @bclimbss on Instagram

Astronomers may have found a signature of life on Venus 👨🚀👩🚀 Evidence indicates phosphine, a gas associated with living organisms, is present in the habitable region of Venus’ atmosphere. This does not mean that we will discover life SOON considering that methane has been discovered on Mars also back in 2003 and we have yet to discover some form of life there. Another good candidate is Saturns moon - Titan. There has also been found giant amounts of methane lakes. It is thought that there may be creatures living in these lakes which would take in hydrogen instead of oxygen and release methane instead of carbon dioxide. I needed patience and perseverance. . I didnt have my EQ6 pro Go-To yet for Mercury and Venus so I dont have many frames to stack (a short video of around 30 seconds only). . Ill do another solar system in 2021 with a better quality 🤞🏻. We will see the improvement! . I hope youll enjoy. The Reappearance of Mars Image Credit & Copyright: David Duarte and Romualdo Caldas Explanation: Mars reappears just beyond the Moons dark limb in this stack of sharp video frames captured on September 6. Of course to reappear it had to disappear in the first place. It did that over an hour earlier when the sunlit southern edge of the waning gibbous Moon passed in front of the Red Planet as seen from Maceio, Brazil. The lunar occultation came as the Moon was near apogee, about 400,000 kilometers away. Mars was almost 180 times more distant. It was the fourth lunar occultation of Mars visible from planet Earth in 2020. Visible from some southern latitudes, the fifth lunar occultation of Mars in 2020 will take place on October 3 when the Moon and Mars are both nearly opposite the Sun in planet Earths sky. - @astro_photography_ on Instagram
