Preheat oven to 350 °F degrees and line one baking tray with parchment paper.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 2. Place all ingredients except chocolate chips into a large bowl and mix well. Mixture should resemble a dough like consistency. Add more flour/coconut oil to adjust consistency if needed. Once this is evenly mixed, add the chocolate chips.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 3. Using a medium-sized ice cream scoop, or your hands, shape the dough into small balls - slightly larger than a golf ball. Place them on the baking tray 1 inch apart.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 4. While having the opportunity to offer a click and collect service, we feel, along with other factors, Swimsuit is very much a community based cafe and we feel we cant encourage people to leave their home to see us, as much as wed like to see you. Cabra-Vale Diggers recently donated $6251 to the Children’s Tumour Foundation for their Health Management Kits Project. The project aims to provide Health Management Kits to individuals and families in the Fairfield area who are impacted by Neurofibromatosis (NF). The Kits are packed with information and are designed to empower families with knowledge, so they feel more able to navigate complicated health systems along with information about navigating the emotional impacts of a diagnosis of NF. They also provide practical tips for talking with your child and tools for educational professionals. On July 26, Schaumburg Fire and Police units were dispatched for a patient in cardiac arrest in a vehicle. First on the scene was Police Officer Todd Kinkade, who took quick action in determining the patient had no pulse. He applied his Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and began CPR. Patient care was then transitioned over to fire personnel who began advanced life support measures. The LUCAS device was applied and the patient was defibrillated a second time. He regained a pulse and began breathing on his own. If not for the quick actions by Police Officer Kinkade, Fire Battalion Chief Schneidwind, Lieutenant/Paramedics Ball and Sheehan, and Firefighter/Paramedics Niemann, Slaboszewski, Colvin, Lovato, and Annen, this positive outcome would not have been possible. The Village of Schaumburg recognized Officer Kinkade with the Life Saving Award and Fire Chief Jim Walters presented a Unit Citation Plaque to Schneidwind at its Sept. 22 board meeting. Chief Walters also presented the on scene fire personnel with a Unit Performance Award at Fire Station 51. Our September staff spotlight features another longtime Lakewinds employee. Meet Craig, deli counter lead at our Minnetonka store. We are thrilled to report that in October, Craig will be celebrating his 24-year anniversary at Lakewinds! 🎉 As the deli counter lead in the evenings, Craig is often the go-to guy for the night shift. He makes pizza in the wood fire oven and burritos at the burrito bar, helps out at the cheese counter, makes smoothies, slices meat & cheese, serves deli salads and entrees, and works with the rest of the deli staff to determine which projects should be completed first during their shift. There are a lot of moving parts, and Craig is a great leader for the team.  Hes had many memorable moments and wonderful connections from working with the public over the years. When asked to recount some of his favorites, Craig says, Thats a tough question. In 23+ years one builds a lot of great memories, but some of my favorites would include some of my regular smoothie customers, especially the parents with younger children. He says that the best part of the job is being able to serve the quality food that our kitchen and deli staff produce.  So, what keeps a person in the same career for so many years (besides their love for AMAZING deli food?) Craig says its the great customers and coworkers!  I still look forward to coming into work after all of these years. He wants you to know that were always happy to answer your questions in the deli. Swing by the deli counter some evening, and say hi to Craig if you see him. He adds and if you have any good bird sightings, dont forget to let me know! 24 years is a big deal, regardless of what industry youre in. Everyone, wed like you to take a moment and think about where you were in 1996 and reflect on Craigs 24 amazing years bringing delicious scratch-made deli foods, sliced local meat and cheeses for countless bag lunches and picnics, and serving it all up with a smile or a kind word for shoppers and coworkers alike. Congratulations to @austinbeerworks Co-Founder, Texas Craft Brewers Guild Legislative Chair, and @CraftPAC_TX Board Chair Adam DeBower on receiving @brewersassoc’s 2020 F.X. Matt Defense of the Industry Award. Adam led the charge on the Guilds efforts to get #BeerToGo passed for Texas manufacturing breweries last session, and is incredibly deserving of this prestigious award. Beer-To-Go has been a lifeline and rare bright spot for so many Texas breweries as theyve had to close their taproom doors not once, but twice, during the #COVID19 crisis. The original game plan would have been for Adam to accept the award on stage in front of 14,000+ brewing industry peers at the Craft Brewers Conference in San Antonio this year.
