Assembling crow records all weekend with a brief stop helping Thrillhouse with RSD yesterday morning which was fun, chill like their RSD usually is. Mailing prank stuff is my next two weeks, I think we have over 400 orders for all the various stuff. Crow is one of the most labor intensive records I’ve done and then a bunch of releases piled on top of each other due to covid. Ordering more crow and prolly Totalitar soon. This Crow splatter vinyl had to be pressed twice: the original was pressed with limited staffing due to covid, but the stampers went bad and the records were pitted. Less staff: no quality check people, so I had to send them back, have them destroyed and get new ones pressed, free of charge!. Only a few got this “heavy splatter effect” which is cool with the double red, this one’s mailing off to the band. - @ken_sanderson on Instagram

In memory of Todd Youth, I’m sharing my display at Tower Records for his band Son Of Sam. He came up with the idea of the alma mater of Samhain, Danzig and some new blood returning to the roots of that music. I met Steve Zing at Tower and he was one of the first people on albums I owned and loved being interested in my art. This lead to doing art for the band as well as his side project, Doomtree AKA Marra’s Drug. He said the guys liked my t-shirt designs, but the band broke up before they could be used. ‘Til this day, this display remains in his personal collection.🦇 . . . On September 30th, 1989, ICEHOUSE released the single “Touch The Fire”. The song was one of two new songs to appear on the greatest hits album, Great Southern Land. The other new song was “Jimmy Dean”. The single climbed up to Number 13 on the Australian Singles chart. The video for “Touch The Fire” brought ICEHOUSE one of its very few moments of controversy when the clip was banned by MTV in the United States due to its religious imagery. The recording of “Touch The Fire” reunited the team that worked on ICEHOUSE’s Man of Colours album. David Lord flew to Australia to produce it, David Hemming was the engineer and the song was recorded in the same studio, Studios 301.
