Whoever determined that to be RICH we needed to be Millionaires or even more, Billionaires!! This is why so many people feels like a failure because they don’t have a huge bank full of money!! Eventually everything is funny. David Sedaris.⁣ ⁣ My first time ever skiing, I wasnt prepared for the altitude -- I became extremely dehydrated and dizzy. I didnt know when it [the mountain] would ever end and felt stupid that I felt confident enough to ski solo after ski school.⁣ ⁣ After skiing as far as my body would take me, I stopped to rest and started sobbing. I wasnt prepared.⁣ ⁣ Finally, an older couple stopped and asked if I was okay.⁣ ⁣ I pitifully responded, Im so thirsty and Im having a hard time breathing!⁣ ⁣ They looked at me and said, Maybe you can eat some snow...⁣ ⁣ Before they finished their sentence (and me royally feeling like an idiot), I scooped up a fistful of snow and started nibbling at it.⁣ ⁣ I cant remember their expressions, watching me eat the snow. But I do remember them waiting for me to finish my pity party. Then they politely said, Or you can ski ~50m to the mountain lodge right over there...⁣ ⁣ With snow in my mouth, I looked a little beyond the trees to see a house... I didnt know there were mountain lodges! I felt even more pathetic.⁣ ⁣ They kindly helped me up and saw that I got into the lodge, alive. See how this is a funny story now?!⁣ ⁣ It really, really wasnt funny at the time. I had never experienced such dehydration and altitude sickness. I thought Id have to be medevacd off the mountain or something.⁣ ⁣ My common sense and situational awareness was so clouded that I didnt look for the solutions that existed right in front of me.⁣ ⁣ When I told the story to my family, I couldnt help but laugh telling it! As I was eating the snow, I didnt see the lodge 50 meters in front of my face!⁣ ⁣ The moral of the story is 2020 is not funny. Not right now. We are still dealing with raw and clouded emotions. But its not going to be like this forever. Theres light at the end of the tunnel. I promise. I am the feeling of safety I felt in my flannel nightgown and cap, and the unencumbered slumber that the little girl was bestowed night after night. What did you dream about back then, sweet one? ... I am the girl who sat hour after hour focused on each puzzle piece, wondering what world lived behind all of this cardboard. Was it better on the other side? ... I am the girl that looked up in her garage at the door that hung in its rafters, wondering what cloud-filled world lived beyond my reach? Is this why even now I sit in awe as I look towards the sky? ... I am the creepy look of that teacher and colleague and stranger that never made me feel safe. A LETTER FROM THE CEO  
 There’s something special about lighting a candle. For me, its the calmness of watching the fire. It’s so beautiful and peaceful when its in a controlled environment like a freshly trimmed wicked candle.  
 In the Bible, the presence of fire often symbolized holiness or the process of becoming pure. There is something also beautiful about allowing the Refiner’s fire to purify us, to allow our faith and preferences to be refined by His fire.  
 This is where I am! Although in a season of public wins behind the scenes there have been a lot of things burning away. My preferences, my path to success, or rather me relinquishing the paths I believe will lead me to success. He’s challenging that right now.  
 Before launching Spark my sister Jackie messaged me words Im still attempting to prove true and pure within my heart. She said sis, before you even sell a single candle, remember you are already successful! Whether you sell 20 candles or you sell out you’re successful because you’ve obeyed the Father! With each release, there comes more anxiety to outperform the last drop. Whispers to sell more and sell out faster.  
 Insert my Father. This is why I love being a daughter first. Through love, He continues to pull me even closer to remind me of those words she spoke over me. True success is obedience in Him. His firm but loving corrections when I start to think otherwise is this beautiful fire, beautiful purification process.  
 There is a specific charge I have from Him that Spark will go in another way than the norm, it will be lead and guided by Him. This is step 1.  
 I’m opening the store right now. Everything has been restocked! No major “drop” this time. No race against the clock to outsell the last. I’ve found success before a single sale because of obedience. My prayer is that you’re encouraged to do the same. Present whatever has been your litmus test of success to Him and watch Him sure something up in you and then watch it turn as pure as gold.

I choose to share because not a single person who has ever talked shit about me sharing my story has ever benefited from doing so. I choose to share because I know there’s power in my voice. Before I became a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, I had a few different careers. After going to a private college and studying Recording Arts Management, I started working in the music industry as a coordinator of small concerts, songwriter showcases and artist performances at the Canadian Country Music Week Awards. When I went to work at SOCAN, Canadas performing rights society for songwriters, I was in charge of organizing No. 1 song parties for songwriters whos song reached number one on a Canadian music chart. I then spent a number of years in corporate event planning at both the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and the Toronto Board of Trade. However, after getting married and having my son, my husband and I decided it was best for me to stay at home and take care of our family. Although this was so amazing and rewarding, I needed to find my passion again. And thats where I discovered fitness. Although I was always active, this career enabled me to stay fit, spend time with my family and interact and help people get fit. I just want you to be happy... Said with the purest intent BUTTTT it’s a condition!!! I just want you to be happy because that makes me happy!!! It’s a condition without pure intent because it sends the message to YOUR 🧠 that your happiness is predicated on forces in THEIR LIFE that we just can’t control!!! NOW you’re thrown into a space in which you feel like you have to control what’s making them unhappy ☹️ OR RESENT THEM for not just finding it more easily on their own. WAIT WHAT JUST HAPPENED??? I WAS TOTALLY HAPPY JUST A SECOND AGO!!! NOW I FEEL TOTALLY SHITTY 😫🤦🏽‍♀️ We can’t place these conditions on people and allow their emotional responses in life to create emotions for us as well. We just have to be happy, consistently happy anyways. Yes we know happiness is an emotion that comes and goes; BUT happiness is also a choice that you can actually choose to be. We have to hold on to the feelings that we have about happiness so that the person you love can gravitate to the vibrations of happiness instead of you gravitating to their vibrations of their less then happy emotions. When you dip down to that unhappy place you get resentful that you allowed yourself to gravitate to a lower vibration and then you look for something or someone to blame. People always want to pull you to whatever frequency they are on so they can feel connected and relatable, while they get validation for being where they are. What you want to demonstrate to them is, you care about them & the way they feel, but you also care about the way YOU FEEL, so much so, that you’re going to make sure you feel good unconditionally, regardless of what frequency they are on. That’s going to be challenging at first, because it will seem like you don’t care but what you are doing is, building your vibration so high and so strong 💪🏽 that you pull them into your happy frequencies faster then they can pull you into their lower vibrations. Truth be told, EVERYONE WOULD RATHER FEEL HAPPY 😃 but they may not know how to be that or even how to get there. So instead of getting to their level, bring them up to yours. I respect all religions. Religious freedom was the foundation of our country. 🇺🇸 I loved growing up LDS (Mormon). I once went to EFY twice in one summer, which is basically church summer camp. I was a Book of Mormon nerd and loved to be obedient. I grew up valuing family. And loved learning about Jesus. And Jesus taught me about unconditional love. Love with no conditions meant everyone, no matter what. So it didn’t make sense to me when I saw how members of the LGBTQ+ community were being treated. And it didn’t make sense that there was this whole piece of myself, being attracted to women, that was there before I ever liked boys too. And that it was considered worse than murder. Yes, I was told that being LGBTQ+ was worse than murder. And that was God’s word. But once upon a time, being Black was also a mark of sin in the LDS church. Black people were not allowed to hold the Priesthood (the Power of God) or hold positions of authority in the church. And now the church admits this was in fact not God’s will. I see a future where LGBTQ+ members of the LDS church are held to the same standards of chastity as heterosexual couples. This is not because I do not respect religious freedom, but because it was those who came before me, who stood up for inequality, that changed the narrative for racial inequality in the church, and I stand for sexual equality in the church. I still believe that Jesus is the son of God with my whole heart. And he had room for everyone in His Kingdom when He walked the earth. September, the month I was born in and the month I will turn 40 in. There are days I think, how is that even possible that 40 years have gone by? Then there are days where I feel those 40 years and all the life that they hold. I can remember walking to kindergarten with my brother like it was yesterday. I wore my favorite red dress with a tiny floral print and a pale blue satin ribbon that tied in the back (80’s)! High school is a blur... I don’t even remember most of my teachers names. (Ugh those teenage years 😖) Going into my twenties is when I met Jace. We lived our life around photography, music, and our friends! Then my thirties came and surprisingly proved to be the best years of my life. I worked a lot, I traveled a lot, and I learned A LOT. In this decade I became the truest version of myself. Honestly, I fear getting older, and I fear all of this uncertainty, but for some reason I do feel content to be in this moment right now. (Or at least until my anxiety sets back in) But anyway, I look forward to celebrating this month and this life we are so lucky to live, so Happy September and cheers to midlife!! 🤪 - @christinalilly on Instagram

Back on social media after taking a much needed break for the holidays. There’s so much pressure to reflect and pull ourselves together before the new year, which is probably the worst time to do anything that isn’t related to dealing with all the Christmas chaos. The cooking, cleaning, decorating, holiday potlucks & corporate parties, mitigating heated political discussions between family members.... you know, the usual😅 but with that being said I’m FINALLY able take in all that happened in this last year, and reflect on the immense growth I’ve had in these last 12 months. 2019 has challenged me, it’s pushed me to do things I never thought I’d ever want to do, dive deeper into mastering highly technical (and intimidating) aspects of photography, and I’m so pumped to take it even further in 2020! Another year around the sun ☀️🌻 If you know me, you’d know birthdays don’t mean much to me. I can’t recall the last time I’ve even done anything more than buying a slice of Whole Foods chocolate cake. And the most memorable one I can think of was last year scrubbing into a Whipple. But this year hits different, as I look back at everything that leads me here—applying to become a surgeon, in the middle of a pandemic. This summer was the first time Sadie got to join in on Nanny week, because in the past, she has been fighting a very strong, very lengthy battle. The last few years we’ve watched her FIGHT a dang good fight!
