PCI Race Radios 300 TRUE GRIT winner: 2021 post race report early Friday afternoon we broke a front break line. Justin Rivera drove to Kartek to get replacement. Luckily we had 9pm tech. Justin found some cracks on front suspension. I drove over to the great Wes Mosers pit and he laid some amazing stick beads. Thanks buddy. Race morning justin And Bailey Marie get in truck for the start. 1st vehicles started around 815 am. 2021 left the line at 902 am in complete dust. We here there was a accident around mile 7 with cars on fire. Hoping we werent involved. We hear from Justin they were good. Around mile 30 we can hear Justin asking Dennis for a big screwdriver bed side was coming lose. Next we here they needed a welder rear shackles broken on drivers side. Same ones that were hit at last race. Checkers let Jack Olson weld the temporary repair. Truck get going again. Justin radios in to suit up he wants out. To help finish repairs at main pit. Mile 50 Justin said getting out to check another noise. Bailey calls in muffler is removed and marking waypoint so we can get later. Jack comes into pit hot and takes over directing what needs to be done on more permanent repairs. Welder ready generator ready grinder extra steel. Truck shows up repairs made with everybody doing what needs done I get in with John C. Jankowski as codriver we finish 1at lap. Cruised 2nd lap pushing where we could. Got a flat around 10 got help from someone maybe a checkers group again. We get back to the pits replace spare and get the last of our fuel. Finish 2nd lap. Start pushing a little harder get to around mile 30 radio traffic said hurry up. Started pushing our little turtle harder than I ever have. Finish 3rd lap. Cruised through the 1st half then again radio said hurry up. Okay now Im going way faster than I ever thought the stock 22re and bolt on suspension could ever handle. Didnt know how long the engine would handle 5000 rpm and 65mph through big whoops for us. Pass 2047 then get hit on passenger side by him. Guess they didnt like the turtle passing them. I floored it making as much dust a possible. Suck it boys. Get into pit area pushing to finish. I have never been at 50 - @mojaveoffroad on Instagram

Kyles first time racing his Pro 2 and he came around turn 1 in the lead, pulling his first ever hole shot in the new truck. He made a small mistake mid race but still ended up on the podium with a second place trophy in hand. The second race of the weekend Kyle had a bad start, and had to battle his way through the field with no brakes. He ended up in fourth place! In his first ever cup race, Kyle ran in third up until then end, again battling break issues right away. He finished in fifth. A great start to the year and a great start with the new truck for Kyle! Race report ‼🏁🏁🏁 Day 3 of 3 🥇🥇🥇 such a #rad 3 days of racing! Definitely was a fun track with lots of corners and hard to make passes! First day I started 6th position, 2nd day i started 4th position and 3rd day 4th position but lucky enough to wait for the perfect moment to make it count🥇🏁. DAY 1: I started 6th and when the green flag went out,I found myself battling with first bumper to bumper i was waiting patiently for the perfect moment to make a pass, till it happened! I held 1st till the checkers, during the podium I picked out the number 4 for the invention and started 4th next day. DAY 2: i started in 4th position went the green flag dropped I went inside and moved 2nd position and i started to chase 1st place until i passed him and put my car on top of the box for the second time! Back in our Hyundai I20 R5 this weekend for the Rallye Castine Terre d’Occitanie! 🇫🇷 Great opportunity to learn further on gravel surely on this type of stages that are much different than the ones we found in Latvia en Estonia. WHAT. A. WEEKEND.🏆 Saturday we were able to close the points gap with a P2 and Sunday we needed a win to clinch the @champoffroad Pro 2 championship & we got it done! There are so many emotions felt having accomplished this in only our second year in the truck! Then to be able to top off the weekend by being a @crandonoffroad FCP Community Cup Champion is truly incredible. Winning a Pro 2 championship and becoming a Cup champion are two things every racer dreams of & strives for. We did both of those things in one day and I don’t have words to explain the way I feel. So this is my opinion and my opinion only so take it for what it’s worth, and sorry I wrote a book! Congratulations to the winners and everyone who finished this tough and hot race! It was a dog fight all day long. Last Saturday we won the Baja 500, then we didn’t. I am the navigator so I take full responsibility for us missing the 2 VCP’s and getting 20 minutes in time penalties. Sorry for letting everyone down. It wasn’t on purpose or like we cut off a mile or two of the course to gain time, but we missed them and rules are rules so we were in the wrong and got penalized for it. We missed 1 VCP by 20’ while banging doors with another trophy truck at over 100 mph because it seemed like they didn’t want to let us over to get to the VCP. It was pretty intense. I guess next time we will have to loop back to get it as that is what we were told we should have done. The other VCP, #45 was not on the race line. We looked at it prerunning and you would have to turn off the beat in path at over 100 mph and went out though bushes to get to it so in all honesty we assumed it would get thrown out as a bad VCP. Where we ran was about 150’ from it so 30’ to far away. With no drivers meeting to be allowed to talk about that VCP it didn’t get thrown out. I know SCORE has a tough job to do, especially with all this Covid crap and bottom line is we missed the vcp’s and they did their job and enforced the rules like they should so we got time penalties. I do hope SCORE takes the time to review all the problems that occurred on the dry lake bed with these VCP’s. Other years lake beds had been treated like silt areas with a VCP at the beginning and end, maybe 1 in the middle but not this year. This year the spectators knew where the VCP’s where and it attracted them to those spots on the lake bed with vehicles lined up maybe 100’ apart on both sides of the course at the VCp’s while we are trying to do 100mph in the dust, not safe at all and there was at least one head on because of this. Usually you have maybe 10 VCP violations, this race there was 2 pages worth so tells me there might be a problem that needs to be addressed and changes made in the future. - @trmshane on Instagram

OFFICIALLY Class 7 Baja 500 champs once again. This @hondaoffroadracing @hondaracing_hpd Ridgeline ran absolutely PERFECT all day long thanks to an incredible @evan_weller_racing prep job and changes they made after Vegas to Reno. @proctor_race and Evan drove the first 360 miles and handed the truck over to @thumpermike and I with a huge lead. All we had to do was keep the truck moving along and that’s what we did. The @fox shocks were absolutely flawless all race long on this rough San Felipe course. Thank you to @scoreinternational for putting on a great event and I was really happy with the COVID protocols they put into place. Thanks to our entire crew for chasing us around the desert. Oliver Solberg won Rally Sweden Lockdown on Sunday afternoon by defeating Pontus Tidemand in a two-leg final at Torsby. Eighteen-year-old Solberg, who was co-driven by mum Pernilla, outgunned Tidemand in both final runs over the 2.50km Torsby Sprint speed stage, made famous by the country’s FIA World Rally Championship fixture. Driving a Volkswagen Polo GTI, Solberg opened a 0.8sec advantage in the first leg of the final on wet gravel roads. He added an extra three-tenths to his lead in the second run to win the made-for-TV special by 1.1sec. It was the first top-class rally since Covid-19 shut down global sport and the knockout event, which was screened by Swedish broadcaster SVT, was closed to fans and held under tight health restrictions. “It was great fun. The road was pretty rough in the end and that was tricky because we were having to push hard to stay ahead of Pontus,” admitted Solberg. “It was a really tight fight at the end but to win is something special for me and my mum. It’s been a long time out of the car and I want to say a very big thanks to everybody who made this happen. They have done an amazing job.” The invitation-only rally attracted some of the biggest names in Swedish motorsport and Solberg topped the times in qualifying. As rain began to fall, he beat 2016 world rallycross champion Mattias Ekström in the semi-final before victory over Tidemand’s Skoda Fabia. Tidemand,a double world champion in WRC support series, knocked out 2018 FIA Junior WRC champion Emil Bergkvist in the semi-final. Bergkvist had earlier set the second fastest time in qualifying, just a tenth slower than Solberg. He beat Ekström to win the B final. The challenge from double junior world champion P-G Andersson came to an early end when he rolled his Ford Fiesta in qualifying and retired. What a first day here in WRC Rally Estonia! 🇪🇪 10 stages were on the program for a total of 148.46km. After going through all these fast and technical stages, we are 22nd overall and 7th of the WRC3 category. However, our journey hasn’t been trouble-free as we punctured 4 tyres through the day! 🤯 The rough conditions made it hard for us to evolve on a constitent pace but that’s also part of the learning process. Well since everyone always wants to talk about how much more reliable 2wd will be than awd I thought I would run some numbers after KOH. We had 4 of our awd trucks there and unfortunately only had 2 finish. We arent perfect but we strive to get better all the time. So we had a 50 percent finish rate. I believe 10 2wd trucks entered the race and 4 finished....... well thats only 40 percent......... Oh yeah and the awd trucks were noticeably faster all day and @brycemenzies7 dominated all the way to the win in his @masonmotorsportsinc awd truck.............. We love the people and places of Baja and we long to return but for multiple and different reasons the #7, #31, #3 and the #16 will not be at this weekends Baja 500 but want to support the town in some way.
