Notwithstanding on his big and powerful body, Giant drunk very fast, and said that he will destroy Asgard, and will become a new ruler of Asgard. Then Aesirs called Thor to help them pacifying Grungnir. Because Grungnir didnt have any weapon, Thor called him to fight, which must start after three days. Preparing to fight, three hundred giants started creating for Grungnir a shield, which should defend Grungnir from Mjolnir hammer, and to the morning of the third day, it was done. It was created by very hard oaks, and on the top was encrusted with huge granite. Also Giants created a giant Mjokkurkalvi to support Grungnir in fight. When battle started, Thor threw Mjolnir at Grungnir, but Grungnir threw a club. Club was destroyed, and one part of it hit Thor to head. Thor fell on earth. Grungnir was ready to kill Thor, but Mjolnir hit him to head, and Grungnirs stone head was crushed. Grungnirs body fell, and his leg fell on Thors throat. Tjalfi, Thors servant, came to help Thor. But Mjokkurkalvi joined in fight. Tjalfi killed him very fast by his sword. Tjalfi brought Thor in Asgard, but even Aesirs couldnt up Grungnirs leg.
