What a weekend for Liberty customers at Shakedown. David Reese and Stevie Jackson battled it out for multiple record breaking runs and Stevie had the final say with a 3.505! Stevie took home the win after beating Luis de Leon in the final. Luis also had a personal best this weekend after only a handful of passes in the car. Mark Benston Jr. broke the 10.5 record with a 3.741. Ron Green broke the pro275 record with a 3.760 and went on to win the race! I would like to start with I really appreciate all the help at ucc bye Ethan Wiles drew Randy Showalter brandon roemer and wife and Ethan Employee sorry cant remember your name for the tag lol. We had a fun and Disappointing time but for the most part a great Experience. We started off with some shifter problems on the track but we made the best of it until we lost the trans and didnt have time to fix it in between rounds. We worked into the morning with some help from Paul Cato and the bd crew we got it ready for the dyno. With the nitrous tubes from Jared Delekta we headed two the dyno with high Hopes we decided with the time restraint to put Bob Millican behind the wheel instead of myself. As the pull started it sounded great but soon turned bad as the motor let go which can be replaced. Im just super glad Bob was ok and wasnt harmed at all from the fire that started. We was in the running to do pretty good for are first time out with the truck as we was in 5th over all at that point but unfortunately we was unable to make the sled pull. Over all we have made a lot of memories. I would like to thank industrial injections crew Dustin Hembury Bob millican Tyler Kipp Shawn Baca and Jared delekta for all the help getting the truck up and running. I would also like to thank the bd diesel crew Georgina Hooper Brian Roth for all the help getting it ready to go so fast from it breaking and just over all Confidence in me to make a go at ucc. I would also like to thank Lavon D. Miller and the inter firepunk crew for all the help leading up and during the event as I would have probably never made it to ucc with out your help I will forever be grateful for your all help. I plan on have it back running as soon as possible. Also thanks to all the fans that cheered for us. In 2013 went to H2oi. Arguably the last real H2oi . We all now what happened since with the devolution of that event. Optimistically I hoped Canada would do better and focus on the better parts of what h2oi was. Realistically I knew that wouldnt be the case. What happened in Wasaga Beach this weekend should not be encouraged. All it did was prove to the non enthusiast public (they are the majority) that car enthusiasts are, or at least can be, entitled little shits. Traffic laws were broken, social gathering mandates ignored, residents needlessly bothered. We need to do a better job of self policing situations like this because you know the Police are going to work extra hard to police us now.
