Lottie went from long brunette hair to an ultra trendy silvery blonde bob. It looks so young and modern 🤩 Lottie started with very long brunette hair with some colour previously on it. We started off by cutting the hair into this amazing jaw-length bob ✨ We then used Wella products to lift the hair in foils to a white blonde and remove previous colour. Once lifted to a bright blonde we did a root melt to help soften the look and keep it young. Then finished with a toner to create an icy, steel blonde ✨ finally we styled the hair with some texture ✨ What do you think of Lottie’s HUGE transformation? Hello sister! I just want you to know it’s TOTALLY normal if you’re feeling a little overwhelmed these days. There’s a LOT going on in our world . . . And it can be challenging to shake it off and keep moving forward with our goals. That’s why I want to share something that works for me, and I’ve got a feeling it might work for you too. 😊 It’s called the 4-7-8 breathing technique, and it’s made a world of difference for people struggling with insomnia, chronic anxiety or acute stress levels. Make sure you’re somewhere you can sit or lay down, as it may make you feel lightheaded when you first start! Okay, you ready? First, gently place your tongue on the ridge behind your two front teeth. You’ll keep it there for the duration of this exercise. 👍 Now . . . breathe in through your nose to a count of 4. Hold your inhale to a count of 7. Then, exhale completely through your mouth, making a whooshing sound as the breath leaves your body. Repeat this cycle ONLY 4 times. The effects are profound, but it takes time to harness the full power of this breathwork practice. Do this twice a day, and once you’ve mastered the technique, you can work your way up to 8 cycles. #спогади Наш гуртожиток в Білій Церкві був в кінці вулиці. З одного боку вулиці були 5- ти поверхові будинки, а з іншого 2 - х поверхові, а за ними гаражі і теплотраса. Біля гаражів вся малиншя хоронила котів, собак і різну живність, яка помирала природньою тваринною смертю. А ще, там були смітники і там завжди смерділо. Ті хто жив в 5ти поверхівках здавались мені елітою, бо в них були свої кімнати і своя кухня і своя ванна і свій туалет. А в нас в гуртожитку було все загальне. Наша кімната була навпроти Прачечної Так називалася окрема територія, де можна спокійно собі прийти і попрати одяг. А збоку від Прачечної була кухня. На кухні, як підказує мені моя память завжди хтось був і щось готував. Ми, гуртожиткові діти, дружили між собою. А з тими, що з будинків менш дружили. Еліта все таки. Правда, в Білій в мене було не сильно багато друзів. Я вже й забула як їх звали, чесно кажучи. Одну дівчинку здається Оленка, а іншу здається Свєтка. На Свєтку всі казали Жабеня. Свєтка Жабеня в дитинстві була мала на зріст, дрібної статури і нагла як цигани. Одного разу моя мама зготувала салат олівє і ми собі їли його в сімейному колі. Жабеня заходила в гості без просу і стуку. І от ми їмо, відчиняються двері, Жабеня сідає з нами за стіл, бере ложку і їсть. Тато спочатку мовчав, але потім тихо і чемно сказав: - Так, Свєтік, може сначала спитати треба, чи можна? А Свєтка і оком не змигнувши видала: - Їсиш собі там? То їж і мовчи. І продовжила їсти наш олівє. З Свєтіком в нас було декілька пріключєній, але мало памятаю все це. Якось, пригадую, хоронили мого кота за гаражами. В нас був красивий білесенький пухнастий котик Сніжок. І одного разу ми лишили його гуляти а самі поїхали кудись, вже й не знаю куди. А коли повернулись додому, Сніжок лежав дохлий в прачечній. Імовірно хтось його отруїв. В гуртожитку було багато злих людей. Ми з Свєтіком замотали його в ганчірку і поховали, як годиться по людськи. Millie A little while back I volunteered some time with @2heavy_productions doing headshots for the remarkable young actors there. I came up through youth theatre myself so I know what a difference this can make to a young persons life. Having those doors opened, doors to things you might not get close to otherwise can change everything and set your whole life on a different course. I guess I’m talking about Opportunities really. Not just in terms of employment but also accessing the parts of yourself that theatre requires. This is a really bright and talented group of people here and I would urge any directors and casting directors to get in touch when you’re looking for exciting, fresh talent. The company is run by Steve Macaulay who is well known for his vision and his dedication to the next generation. Frankly he is doing amazing things and I had so much fun shooting these kids. One thing I never had when I was young was a good headshot and couldn’t afford the money to get one done. Honestly I wouldn’t have even known where to look. Когда на курсах мы стали разбирать внешность, оказалось, мне было противопоказана чёлка и такая длина😂 ⠀ Вернулась домой, отращивала чёлку и потихоньку шла к идеальной для меня длине 😻 Окончательно решилась в 2013 году, когда летала в Милан на очередные курсы по стилю, и вот, с начала 2014 я стала ходить со своей идеальной стрижкой-каре💫 ⠀ Я точна в определении лучших стрижек для клиентов, потому что могу увидеть вариации образов ещё до того, как они станут реальностью👌🏼 Всегда уверена в идеальном результате. ⠀ Сейчас многие удивляются, почему я решилась на ещё более короткую длину для себя и спрашивают, не жалею ли? ⠀ Отвечаю всем и сразу: Я очень долго жила с мыслью это сделать. The field shrinks. Imposed regimes gradually giving way to something new, images slowly rising. A situation that can’t be simply understood, only responded to. Weeks fold into days and months, forming clumpy, uneven shapes behind you. Despite your hat telling you that you look fine, today your eyes tell you something else. That push and pull of not knowing enough whilst knowing too much seems crushing and immovable. As the restrictions ease we get a glimpse of the new world that awaits and it appears to be a very long, well-spaced queue for Primark. The strange cloud remains that you couldn’t be there were anything to happen to your loved ones bc you’re countries apart. Your last remaining grandparent is 94 and you try and reconcile with the fact you’ll never be in a room with them again. Are these realisations deaths in themselves? When every episode that makes up the future as we understand it is removed, we fall into a new kind of formlessness. A formlessness that shakes you day after day. We know there is something peaceful about emptiness, but it takes a force of mind and general agility to adjust to that with any meaningful strength. It’s not an agility that comes easy to most. For all that I am OK - a lucky one - and I don’t crave answers yet. If answers come now they’ll be built on other people’s agendas, old agendas. Agendas which have been hurled out continuously from every angle, every day of this time. 1 СЕНТЯБРЯ Мокрый асфальт, серое небо, моросящий дождик, тяжелые неудобные гладиолусы, синяя школьная форма с кожаной нашивкой на рукаве, серый ранец с нарисованной рыжей некрасивой собакой. Линейка перед школой, дети мечутся туда сюда, от родителей к классной руководительнице, шурша целлофаном букетов. Не помню ни слова из вступительных речей. Одноклассники вроде те же, но уже очень сильно другие. За лето все выросли, взгляды потяжелели, у всех в деревнях у бабушек появились новые крутые компании, всем уже не интересно с теми мелкими школьными друзьями, с которыми они попрощались в начале лета. Но к концу дня привыкнут. Разговоры только о том, будут ли сегодня нормальные уроки, или всем скажут, что это день знаний и отпустят домой. Садишься на прохладный деревянный стул, раскладываешь свежие тетрадки в новых, еще не исцарапанных полиэтиленовых обложках, и где то под сердцем, очень тоскливо начинает тянуть. За улыбками и болтовней ощущение надвигающейся рутины с привкусом тюремного срока. Мотивация детей исключительно в стиле «ты должен» и «это твоя обязанность». И ты уже знаешь, что ты будешь до дрожи рук бояться родительского собрания, потому что родителям скажут что ты сообразительный, но исключительно ленивый, они придут домой расстроенные и ты будешь думать что всех подвел. Ты знаешь как полетят страницы из дневника, с выдранными двойками. Как будешь подделывать подпись родителей и на следующей неделе будешь просить маму расписаться, крепко зажимая пальцем предыдущие страницы. А потом прозвенит звонок и в коридоре будет драка. Портфель с собакой полетит в сторону и свежеотпаренная форма будет собирать пыль на бежевом линолеуме. С днём знаний вас, пупсы. Держитесь там. - @lissoff on Instagram

10 years ago today my life changed forever. After 41 long weeks of pregnancy, and a couple days trying to induce labour, he was eventually born. All 4.5kg of him. He nursed for two years, and was so attached to me 24/7 that I used to worry he’d never sleep on his own. That I was establishing bad habits that would flow into his primary school years. And I guess in some ways it has, except the habits weren’t “bad”. They laid the foundations for a strong and secure bond between us. By no means has it ever been perfect. We argue, sometimes he gives me attitude, and he loves to debate and challenge me on things. But he is such an empathetic, caring, kind, and intelligent kid. He’s everything I’d hoped and dreamed of when he was 2 and 3 on all the days that I worried if I was doing anything right as a parent. He’s better than I ever dreamed of. The other day we were in the car together. He sits in the front seat now and we often hold hands. I still squeeze it three times to say I love you. We were joking around and I looked over at him and felt this flash go through me - this feeling that this moment wouldn’t last for long. This moment where he looks at me this way. I held his hand and asked him if he’d still want to hang out with me when he’s older. He looked at me and immediately said Mum - yes of course! I made him promise me that he would. Each day that he gets bigger and stronger and more independent and resilient I feel so happy and so proud of him. Yet equally, it feels bittersweet. Today we celebrated him for the boy he is, and the man he’s becoming. My hope for him is that he continues to find confidence within himself, that he holds onto and nurtures his empathic heart, and that he never stops wanting to hang out with me. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ - @courtneyholmesfilmsandphotos on Instagram

Как я переехал в город-герой Москва. ⠀ В 14-летнем возрасте я заканчивал 9 класс в Екатеринбурге. Мне нужно было переезжать в Москву к маме, потому как она поселилась там немного раньше, выйдя во второй раз замуж, а я оставался с дедушкой и бабушкой. ⠀ Мне было трудно и грустно покидать свой дом, друзей. Я помню, как мама мне сказала, чтобы я не волновался, убеждая меня, что я привыкну к новому дому и обрету новых товарищей. ⠀ После переезда дела обстояли хорошо, отчим заранее договорился с тренером на гребном канале, чтобы меня взяли на просмотр, дабы я и дальше занимался греблей.🚣 ⠀ И тут трудности встретили меня прямо на пороге. Всё-таки 14-ти летний мальчишка, один в большом городе, ещё и в момент переходного возраста! 🤷🏼 Мне нужно было войти в коллектив, показать себя. Эмоционально было тяжело. Тем более я сам особо не проявлял инициативу к новым знакомствам. Но потом всё поменялось, на моих первых соревнованиях я взял почетное 1-е место и обрёл множество новых знакомых. ⠀ Москва всё-таки очень большая. Дорога до гребного канала занимала примерно час.🥺В своём родном городе я мог пешком пройтись от начала и до конца. Даже сейчас, приезжая домой, хожу по своим детским местам и столько теплых воспоминаний всплывает…🙈💫 ⠀ И вот я уже 18 лет живу в Москве...😌 ⠀ Немного повзрослев, я должен был переходить на новый этап. Я поступил в училище Олимпийского резерва, но перед этим я пробовал себя в Московском радиомеханическом техникуме и понял, что это абсолютно мне не подходит.🙌🏻 И в итоге мне предстоял выбор между спортом и учебой. Как ни странно, я выбрал спорт. ⠀ Для начала мне нужно было хорошо выступить на отборочных соревнованиях, после которых брали в училище. Я успешно прошел отбор и упорно тренировался. Благодаря такому замечательному училищу и получилось продолжить занятия спортом. ⠀ Я очень рад, что тогда решился и переехал в Москву, ведь здесь у меня сложилась карьера спортсмена. Years ago I finally mustered up the nerve to let my hair be gray. The conversation I had with my stylist went something like this.....”younger women are dying their hair lavender or gray so the timing is perfect! Why not? I’ll blend right in!” 😁 So here’s how we did it. We did a strategic transition in that we stopped the base color, but kept the “baby highlights” as my gray hair grew in. That way I didn’t have the dividing line of color and gray. It was perfect. I went every 6 weeks instead of 3, and now I go just for trims. Voila! Thanks to @theankushabs and @elnur_16_official for nominating me to help spread awareness of bullying. #beabuddlynotabully💪🏼one of the most important issues nowadays that, in my opinion, gets too little attention- is the issue of bullying. Unfortunately, it’s something that a lot of people have to face every single day of their lives because they 1) might look a bit different from people around them 2) are new in a certain community 3) have a different financial possibilities than their so-called “friends”...and this list just goes on. As right now mostly everyone using some kind of a social media platform - in my judgment, it’s important to use it to spread support for people being faced with this problem. All the reasons I’ve outlined above - are not good enough for someone being treated badly or feeling not accepted - in fact, there are absolutely NO reason for someone being bullied. Imagine waking up every day and being afraid to go out of your house/room because people don’t accept you and they would make you feel bad about yourself just because you are different - that’s what these people have to go through and - make no mistake - NO ONE deserves to feel like this. If you see someone making fun out of someone- don’t follow the biggest group and do the same and don’t just walk past it - be a bigger person and express a support to someone being bullied. I can assure you that this simple act maybe just enough to make them go through their day. We are ALL people and we ALL have differences - so let’s stop making others feel ashamed of this. Three years since my diagnosis. Still fighting. You never know how fast things will change. It’s funny how I think about my life. In my head I have “before cancer” and “after cancer”. Whenever I think of something from before, I feel like I was 10 years old. I have to remind myself I was 16. It doesn’t feel like that though - because how was I that old and yet didn’t know anything? I hope you go gold for childhood cancer awareness month. It’s only rare until it happens to you. I always find it ironic that I received my diagnosis on September 1st. I’ve included some pictures of my “before”. I look back and notice so many symptoms but at the time they were nothing.
