This was God’s message to me when the world declared the Pandemic. - I’ve only heard the voice of God once. At the time, I was in a wildly abusive relationship. Towards the end, I was sobbing constantly, praying desperately and very alone. One day, a resounding voice engulfed me with one word: “grace.” It was surreal, to say the least. That moment was my lowest point in life and God pulled me up with a single word. - Pre-pandemic, I was not necessarily low, but I was lagging. In March, I was not engulfed by God’s voice, but rather a force, pushing me to change my trajectory. I was like “ughhh! I KNEW THIS WAS COMING!” Not claiming I’m a mystic or that i’m well versed in what it means to be an empath, but the power of thoughts, words & signs warned me 2yrs prior that massive change was looming towards me. ✨ THOUGHTS I acted on: —Save your money, allll of it. —Its ok to be a night owl. —Build an “ark;” even if it feels batsh!t crazy. —Be soft and open to love. —Keep writing. 😅 WORDS I spoke aloud: lots of complaining** about... —Professional air travel —Not controlling 100% of my time —Not owning my own safe space —Working without passion —Fawk-bois (IYKYK) 👀 SIGNS of validation: —Family reaching out to help me reach goals —Materializations of my thoughts (in conversation, media, etc) —Setbacks that become setups —New opportunities that met my needs - **Complaints alert us to what needs change. - Self-awareness/ care/ love play big roles, but for me, focusing on my spiritual connections are mandatory when big change presents itself. Without faith and hope, depression is just around the corner. - So Idk who needs to hear this, but those thoughts, words, & signs are there for a reason. Dont gaslight yourself into labeling it paranoia. Your intuition and your spiritual connections can save your life. For me, the complaints above are thankfully no longer valid. When I connect the dots, I can only feel gratitude. - So many things we think mean nothing are connected to our future. - —What ✨THOUGHTS keep reappearing in your consciousness? —What 😅WORDS are you speaking out loud? —What 👀SIGNS have you witnessed outside of yourself that validate your thoughts and words? - @anaismoniq on Instagram

If you’re stuck “in” the business, then you catch more glass ceilings. 2. Mundane work also equals “details”. The details matter. You have to learn as much as possible and then you have to expand your approach into leveraging technology and systems to scale your efforts. 3. Too many people want to hire and source others right out at the gate. I believe you have to know what you’re hiring and sourcing for based on what you’ve already understood. People can’t take as much advantage of you when you know what you want, how you want it and what to look for. 4. I believe your art and passions are how you express your soul to the world, but you must also be willing to manage it financially and professionally so it can a.) become its greatest self, and b.) so it’s not taken away by someone else. 5. Vertically integrate. Owning different parts of the “supply”, “production” or “marketing” chain not only allows you to handle more of your tasks internally, and at better cost, but they can be licensed and leveraged externally to others. More on this later. 6. Be the person you’d want to learn from so you can help others grow just the same. I treat my people with honesty, integrity, transparency, directness, love and kindness. I want to help them drive their lane 150mph. 7. Skills may get you in the game, but having a high level of emotional intelligence and self awareness will help you navigate people, uncertainty, risk and reward much more efficiently and for the long game. Cambodia is the land of the Honda Dream - a cheap yet sturdy motorbike. You feel the road under you, almost as if you were on a bicycle. Everyone has a Honda Dream, not because its cool, or their friends have one, but because its practical. If it breaks you will find someone to fix it, guaranteed. (Theres someone who drives a BMW to our supermarket and if they needs parts fixed, theyll have to wait weeks, not hours.) So our Honda had a malfunction due to riding over too many potholes, an unavoidable situation in Siem Reap, and we took it to the mechanic. Normally he washes the bike and inflates the tyres, all for under $1. Sometimes fuel is water-contaminated, so we go through spark plugs too. This problem was more complex this time. Plus the seat needed fixing, a grand total of almost $50, and a day of public transportation - significantly more time and cost than average. Of course it was tempting to complain...complain about not having the bike on a busy day, about undue expenses, about the road quality or lack thereof. (The more I look for reasons to complain, the more I find them.) But its Pchum Ben, a 15 day festival in honour of ancestors with giving of gifts within families. I wonder what our mechanic wanted to give, what his kids had asked for that he thought hed never afford? With $50 in his pocket, his prayers have been answered. This dynamic, of others being helped by things going wrong in big and small ways is visible as soon as we become conscious of a world beyond our own existence. Today’s disappointment was Oki Momo. I ordered the rare steak pho and chicken wings with dragon fire sauce. Forgot to take a picture. The pho was, to say the least, not great. The beef deadass looked like deli roast beef. I am ballin on a budget and paid like $15 so I had to eat it. It was mostly hoisin sauce and sriracha. 2/10 bc hoisin and sriracha carried the team.
